The offer for the house had to be submitted via an email, which I did not receive confirmation of; after calling, I was told it would be processed, but a few days later I called again about the status and apparently something went wrong again and they forgot to send an email. Wolthuis real estate agency. Well, what can I say? Last year, my apartment in Amsterdam was offered through this agency. A very beautiful and spacious apartment in the somewhat lower price class, I think, than what Wolthuis is used to. There was little input, poor communication, and poor guidance. They never answered the phone, and callbacks were also out of the question. Ultimately, they wanted to sell my house for a very low offer, under the asking price by more than 10%, which I did not accept. Afterwards, they re-listed the property on funda, but unfortunately, the communication didn't improve. Very bad; I think they didn't earn enough to put their best effort into it. Then the sale was withdrawn and a different real estate agent was sought. That one made clear agreements, good mediation, and very quick sales with an offer 30% above the asking price. I will never offer a property through this agency again.

Think they took on too much work, causing them to pay too little attention to the work they do. Charge for an appraisal at €775,- but then as a customer shouldn't expect them to deliver a good and accurate report. Then stop communicating altogether and 7 months later engage a collection agency after you don't respond to contact.

Very incompetent real estate agent who thinks she can get away with anything in this day and age because she's in a luxury position where there’s more demand than supply. She lacks an important factor in her profession regarding empathy. Buying a (first) house is not the same as getting a sandwich at the bakery around the corner. So much time, energy, effort, and emotion goes into it. She lied to us for 4 days and made us wait to let the price of a property rise. She allowed another party to outbid us after our offer was accepted by the seller with the condition that we would sign the deed of sale the following morning. We agreed to this, but instead of sending the deed of sale the next morning, she informed us through our real estate agent that we had been outbid by 8k. We didn't appreciate that (to put it mildly). But we were allowed to offer the same amount and then the house would still be granted to us because we had a verbal agreement with them for a week until the deed of sale was drawn up. After a few hours of weighing whether or not we wanted to continue with such a party, we decided to go for it anyway and not worry too much about the way this real estate agent works and her communication style. However, our real estate agent later received an app message that the offer from the other party had been accepted. What was the reason for giving us a 'chance' to bid the same amount?? Our suspicion that she only wanted to increase the selling price was confirmed with this. Know what you’re getting into when you go into business with this real estate agent. As far as I have heard from various real estate agents, a real estate agent is not allowed to pit buyers against each other after an offer has been accepted. Apparently, this is normal practice with this real estate agent.
