Bad experience with handover (both times) and also the contact is extremely difficult. Upon receiving the keys, agreements were not kept. A professional cleaning was supposed to take place, but there were still food remnants on the floor, mold in the refrigerator and bathroom, and leftover food in cupboards. The installer for the central heating boiler came for the annual inspection, pointed out that these boilers are incredibly dangerous and advised replacing them. This was reported, but nothing was done about it. They were even contradicted. When handing over the apartment, a deposit is withheld without a legally valid reason. To this day, no proof of 'damage incurred' has been seen. A bad experience in every area, a shame because the apartment was very pleasant to live in.

Really don't go into business with them, not a nice broker! Totally no pleasant experience with them, sluggish contact and doesn't keep appointments.

Been having problems with the heating for a while now. It wasn't getting warm. Nothing seemed to help, no matter what was done. AVOID IF POSSIBLE! The worst experience renting a house… they charged us cleaning costs when we left, while the house was spotless. They took photos of damage that already existed when we rented and it turns out that if we ask them to show us the photos of how the house was when we moved in, they say they don't have pictures of the condition. What a joke! When they show the houses, they also don’t tell the truth, we had problems with break-ins and when the new tenants inquired about it, they were told that it was a safe house, not trustworthy!

My elderly stepfather has been offered an apartment after a few viewings. The price/quality ratio is excellent, there is clear communication about the order of steps to be taken. The handover is outstanding, everything is well documented and contact has also been made with the previous tenant. This allowed some items to be taken over. In a few weeks my stepfather will move, we have full confidence in the service of DC Wonen. Oh yes, you also have direct telephone or email contact for questions or things that need to be arranged. The key handover wasn't pleasant. You pick up the key and figure it out yourself. We’ve never experienced anything like this with a rental property before. The apartment is nice. There is some leakage in the roof, but they said a new roof is coming. Communication was good. That you have to pay a deposit if you want an option on the apartment and don't get it back if you then don’t want the property, we’ve never had that with another landlord.

Contacted through Kamernet with DC Housing, incredibly good communication and very well assisted by the real estate agent, as soon as you respond to a room you usually hear within one day that you have been invited for a viewing. Received a room within 2 weeks in Groningen!

Very quickly found a home through DC wonen. Emails are responded to quickly, always polite and with sufficient information.

0 stars. I had a viewing scheduled for 3:10 PM. I rang the doorbell at 3:07, tenant deed open because the landlord was already gone....... Update; From 0 stars to minus 10 stars. After posting this review, I received a VERY unfriendly email, namely; Dear Mr.****, We noticed your Google review with 1 star last weekend. We believe there might have been a better way to address your concerns, but it seems you had already formed your conclusion and didn't feel the need to hear our side of the story. This says a lot about you as a person that you would leave a 1-star review based on this. We are happy to know what kind of person you are beforehand and we are relieved that you do not rent living space from us. We kindly request you to no longer respond to our building on our website.

Not really a good rental company. They practically ignore you after you sign the contract. They don't even come to your room to pick up the key when you move out. They expect you to go there and hand it over. But more importantly: they also absolve themselves of all responsibility after handing over the rooms. This leads to students potentially being exploited by misbehaving landlords or living in rooms in a deplorable condition, and that the 'office' never takes any responsibility or helps in any way. Only use them as a last resort.

Calling doesn't work, and they haven't even had the decency to respond via email, despite multiple emails - no response. Strange company. Typically a slumlord.

Had very pleasant communication with DC Wonen leading up to the rental of my new studio. They responded quickly to emails and kept all appointments. Thanks to a good handover from the previous resident and DC Wonen's quick action, I was able to pick up the keys for the weekend, earlier than expected. Have experienced them as a pleasant party so far 👍
