Ik ben zojuist aanwezig geweest bij een bezichtiging van een pand dat aangeboden werd door Gruno Verhuur. Bij binnenkomst werd het mij al snel duidelijk dat deze woning, van ruim €1100 per maand, in schrikbarend slechte staat opgeleverd zou worden. Deze woning, die volgens de advertentie "recentelijk gerenoveerd" zou zijn, betrof in werkelijkheid een oude studentenwoning omgezet naar een appartement met een nieuwe keuken. En dat was duidelijk. De gehele woning, minus de nieuwe keuken, was echter in enorm slechte onderhoudsstaat. Vieze, onafgewerkte muren waar het stucwerk vanaf bladerde met schimmelplekken en spinnenwebben, een onafgewerkte vloer zonder plinten, een miniscule badkamer met toilet die uit de jaren 70 leek te komen met een slimverstopt vies boilerhok achter een gordijn, en een apart slaapkamertje met, in plaats van een muur, platen met spijkers. En dat voor ruim ELFHONDERD euro per maand. Toen ik vroeg of de woning zo opgeleverd zou worden, werd mij verteld dat dit het inderdaad maar was. De huurprijs zou iets duurder zijn door de goede locatie, was de beredenering. Nou, na 2 minuten was ik weg. Ik vind het écht schaamwekkend om op deze manier misbruik te maken van de woningcrisis. Ik kon mijn ogen niet geloven. Met wat geluk kan er bij de huurcommissie nog een mooie huursverlaging uitgesleept worden. Bewerking: ik zie zojuist de reactie van Gruno Verhuur, en ik betwijfel of de auteur van deze reactie het pand zelf bezocht heeft. Ook denk ik dat niemand bij Gruno verhuur graag zelf dit pand zou bewonen. Het feit dat de huurprijs €1100 per maand ,*inclusief* nutsvoorzieningen betreft, verandert niets aan het feit dat de woning €1100 per maand kost. Om een woning in zo'n slechte staat als "recentelijk gerenoveerd" aan te bieden, voor dan alsnog een kale huurprijs net kort aan €1000, is ronduit SCHAAMTEVOL en lachwekkend. En om dan maar niet te beginnen over het zelf "afwerken" van de woning. Wanneer een woning met schimmel, afbrokkelend stucwerk en vloeren zonder plinten (waardoor een flinke rand van de kale vloer onder het laminaat zichtbaar is) geleverd wordt is dat JULLIE verantwoordelijkheid. Tevens was het hele gebeuren ook nog eens enorm slordig afgewerkt, met de lelijke, slordiggedichte pijpen nog uit het plafond. Verkoop het niet als mooi plaatje van een "customizable" woning, als het de nieuwe huurder honderden euro's zal kosten om de woning enigszins aantrekkelijk te maken om in te leven. De woning mag zo energiezuinig zijn als het maar kan, dat verandert werkelijk niets aan het feit dat de woning zo opgeleverd wordt. En om dan nog het lef te hebben om dat, en het feit dat de kale huurprijs "maar" bijna 1000 euro betreft als excuus te gebruiken, is verwerpelijk. Dit is exact wat er mis is met de huidige woningmarkt.
