Very peculiar brokerage firm. Don't know what they are talking about, pass on incorrect information. If you have questions, they won't have an answer 9 times out of 10 and '<span class='text-oranje-500'>they say they don’t know</span>'.

A strange real estate agency. You give them a job and then you expect them to keep communicating. That seems like one of the most important qualities of a real estate agency. Unfortunately, I had to chase after things for two months and it turned out an employee had spontaneously disappeared. No one at the office could tell me anymore and I was never informed by Toussaint Makelaardij myself. I noticed that the employee also lacked knowledge of the housing market and made several mistakes. I have already sent 4 emails over the past week to request information about a property. To date, I haven't heard anything back, and I don't know the reason for that. But if we are going to sell one of our properties, we at least now know where not to be. Very unprofessional and also very rude.

Initial contact with broker Sander Toussaint was perfectly fine. There was thoughtful collaboration and all communication was more than satisfactory. Based on a viewing through this broker, I also bought the house I had my eye on. So far so good, until I started living in the house and hidden defects emerged. Despite the fact that the house was advertised as completely restored on the outside, several problems have arisen over time: - moisture in the walls (paint is peeling off walls) due to lack of or poor insulation - mold formation on interior walls due to lack of or poor insulation - problems with the roof (leakage, loose roof tiles) - outward-opening exterior doors (to the garden) do not close properly (1 door does not close well, drafts in the house) - wooden planks at the back of the house are coming loose (nailed) - single glazing (where double glazing was advertised, energy label G) - damage to the exterior facade (literal text Aegon after claim: 'The damage to your exterior facade has occurred because your bricks allow moisture through and there is a defect. In article 2.9 of the conditions 3021 of your insurance we mention a number of situations where damage is not insured. Damage that has arisen due to moisture penetration of walls and own defect') The interior was handed over as shell, so I was aware of that. For the viewing/inspection, the ground floor received a quick coat of paint, so the mold formation was only visible later upon moving in. I can blame myself for never having had a structural inspection carried out, but such major problems should not exist/arise or be resolved immediately if they are indicated by the buyer. Problems were, of course, reported directly by telephone and in writing to the broker, and a contractor was brought in for the roof at the time, which did resolve the leak and loose roof tiles. Another contractor later came to look at the outward-opening doors, but never heard from them again, as it was supposed to be handled through the broker. Nothing more was ever heard about the other problems from the broker either. Finally, even a registered letter received no response..... Tip: save yourself the frustrations and don't do business with this broker! PS. My neighbors have also experienced similar problems during/after purchasing their homes. Update: The initial reaction of this broker was that the working methods and processes had been significantly improved and is now adapted to a kind of semi-funny reply with smileys. Says enough about this party!
