Knowledge and expertise are good. What we and others find difficult is the contact and, especially, the accessibility. This has clearly decreased compared to a few years ago when we were also customers and is definitely a point that needs improvement. We felt a little misled by the price question. There was another property in their range that was roughly the same size but more difficult to sell, and they didn't inform us about this. This resulted in the houses being placed on the same day with different purchase prices. As a result, our house was priced out of the market. Luckily, it did get sold.

At that time I had already done many viewings and bids, without a buying agent and with little success. Rick's professional, but at the same time relaxed attitude, made me decide to hire Rick - then still from Alex Makelaars - as a purchasing agent. A few weeks later I had a house to buy, which could be purchased through Rick's intervention before it appeared on Funda. Rick guided the entire purchase process and that went quickly and smoothly. When buying a new house in 2024, it was an easy decision to call Rick again. He knows the market and his fellow agents, takes the time for you and thinks carefully about bidding strategy. Even in this overheated market I bought a house after two viewings. That is entirely thanks to Rick who thought along well during the viewings and provided me with good advice regarding the bid and guided the entire purchase well. His service was also excellent when selling my house. He immediately came up with a plan, is (almost) always accessible, takes the time for your questions and nothing seems too much for him. He fully involves you as a seller in the process, but at the same time relieves you of tasks. His personal approach, clear communication and decisive action gave me confidence each time in a good and quick sale of my property. And that is what happened: the sale was completed within a week and the draft deed was ready to be signed within a day.
