We had to sell a large and unique object that was difficult to compare with other objects. The properties would be suitable for a specific small target group. The first contact with the agent from Leygraaf was excellent: professional, honest and involved. Unfortunately, this quickly disappeared when she fell ill and someone else took over the sale without consultation. There was no strategy, no creativity and especially no effort. Plenty of viewings, but the agent couldn't turn negative points into positives, so there were no bids. At my request to look at other options, such as styling, new photos or a fresh approach, the only advice given was to significantly lower the price. No initiative, no drive. When I indicated that I would be contacting other agents, that was ‘fine’ – and that says it all. The owner still tried to rectify the situation, but trust was lost. There was also no leniency in the settlement. Ultimately, I switched to another agent and I should have done that much sooner.

You only sell a house a few times in your life, so good guidance and expert advice from the real estate agent are very important. That good guidance and expert advice we received, even more than that!

I do have my reservations about a number of negative reviews regarding this real estate agent, but it is a fact that they are noted and there isn't a response from Leygraaf themselves. This last point surprised me greatly, because when you have nothing to hide, you always at least make yourself heard. That is indeed a point of fundamental criticism where I do not close my eyes, however, I must naturally also strictly phrase my own experience in a review and moreover, the most serious criticism comes from people who hardly ever write a review, and I’ve seen that happen before and often, like with 'Uitvaart24'. Often there is then a matter of severe jealousy and hostility which seeks an outlet in this way. It's striking that aggressive one-line ‘reviews’ sometimes get multiple likes and then you are almost certain that it is only a witch hunt. Incidentally, a company, even then, should always respond under difficult circumstances. People often underestimate how important Google reviews actually are; those reviews are really the easiest to access for everyone and they are given without any filter! And believe me, every reader can immediately see from a review whether there is sabotage, frustration or otherwise. My experience with Leygraaf has been good so far and I have already dealt with the company several times. An appraisal was e.g., thoroughly and professionally carried out and described in a voluminous report where nothing could be faulted. Also, the real estate agent ‘does’ large new construction projects like ‘Dockside’ all by herself and you can bet that it creates jealousy in the area. Moreover, being a real estate agent is a fairly free profession in the Netherlands; it's therefore unprotected yet somewhat protected via the NVM. Leaving something as important as a real estate agent unprotected in the boreal world of Northwestern Europe is personally difficult for me to comprehend. In a Southern European country like Italy, for example, it’s even utterly unthinkable... I will keep you updated on whether my recent visit there also yields the desired results; more soon then but so far there is no reason for doubt about this office. Incidentally, I am man enough to adjust my earlier ideas if necessary, no worries! ;) Oh yes, one more fun detail: Kennedy and Herman are hanging opposite each other in the office, see the photos! It took some getting used to and I wouldn’t do it myself but I do like a ‘challenge’. And Leygraaf I think too.

A neat real estate agency that does what you expect of them. Both for buying and selling. This is one of the few agents I would recommend because there are many where I don't have a high opinion of.

Absolutely great and expert service in brokering a residential/retail property

Don't understand the good reviews: all in all a bad realtor. Realtor was late, then forgot the key. The photos aren't very good - you can't see how the house is laid out. Private data is shared immediately. The sale price is definitely set too high (read: far overasked). Incorrect information is provided, so no knowledge of the house or the neighborhood. Potential buyers are not actively approached. Very superficial overall; it probably goes too well for them, which allows them to afford this attitude. Would not recommend this realtor.
