An appointment was made and we visited, but upon arrival we already got the impression that they had forgotten about us. After waiting for a while, someone quickly responded and said they no longer had time for us and would contact us. Of course, that didn't happen. We were young at the time and our budget wasn't very high, so we never received another call; it probably wasn't profitable enough for them. I thought these people were there for you as a buyer, but unfortunately. I will advise everyone not to go here.

Open Makelaars has a lot of good reviews, and it is very unclear to us how that can be. We have had bad experiences twice with this real estate agent. In 2020 we sold a property, we chose a 'normal' real estate agent to hand everything over to, instead of an online broker. The sales process was very difficult, almost no communication. Answering emails was practically excluded. We were groping in the dark as to what would happen after we had accepted an offer. The purchase agreement took more than two weeks from acceptance of the offer before everything was settled! As if that weren't enough, they lost our house keys and only after 4 days were new locks installed. Due to circumstances, we moved again this year, and bought a property where Open was the real estate agent. The purchase agreement was full of errors, incorrect documents added. After I had it corrected twice, the third version was still not correct, and that was not adjusted either! After a week, even documents were missing, again adjusted. And when we didn't receive any news about that anymore, after a week we called again to see where things stood. The only thing that is always immediately available are apologies. We have literally received apologies thousands of times. But after so many mistakes and especially not addressing poor communication and signals from your clients, apologies are of little value. The sale of our current house last month was done through Makelaarsland. For half the price, with good and flawless communication. I really advise against Open Makelaars based on our honest experience.

Open real estate agents are different from the traditional realtor. We experienced this as very pleasant. A market analysis is performed for the sale and creative solutions are considered regarding the sale of the property. Our questions were answered within a day and the sales guidance was very good. They think in terms of solutions and possibilities. We also had the purchase assistance handled through Open real estate agents. We expected to receive more properties forwarded to Funda, which unfortunately did not happen. Of course, due to the tight housing market, but ultimately we were able to find a beautiful property on Funda ourselves. When we wanted to view a property or had a question, this was responded to quickly. Unfortunately, a realtor could not always accompany us in the short term, but they always thought along with us after the viewing. In short, Open real estate agents is recommended for everyone who values customer friendliness, quick action and 'out of the box' thinking.
