Not recommended! What should have been a wonderful memory for us, this realtor really messed up. We bought our first house together, under the assumption of good people and in good faith, perhaps naively, but well, that's always afterwards. We didn't get the keys during the transfer, and the person who did it was extremely rude to us, shouting in the garden. We were completely stunned .. so you can imagine that this wasn't a pleasant moment for us. Now they also sold a house with a leaky roof, which they simply knew but nothing of it was visible during the viewing. The amount we have to pay to get it fixed is quite high, so all our money has gone through immediately. You cannot communicate with this realtor, and even though we always remained polite, it was different on their side. So definitely not recommended, if you are a buyer and buying a house from this party.

The handover of our first house together took a completely different turn after pointing out several points during the transfer. Mike (colleague of the owner) strongly opposed this, which made my wife cry. In addition, MB Makelaars is very suitable for the seller, read reviews - hence one star for the effort. Unfortunately, as a buyer you mean absolutely nothing; even later during the handover we found a lost bottle of wine again (which we suspected was a gift). Furthermore, we had to go through an entire process due to a hidden defect in our roof, which has resulted in us being heavily in debt. We therefore thank Martijn and Mike for this lasting negative memory, we will indeed never forget it!

I found a beautiful house in a nice neighborhood via Funda through MB Makelaars. I contacted the real estate agent to schedule a viewing, but I was on vacation at the time. That didn't work out unfortunately. According to the real estate agent, the house would likely be sold by the time I returned (approximately 1.5 weeks later). When I got home, I saw that the house was still for sale. Luckily, they are reachable on Saturday and someone always answers quickly. I mainly wanted to know if it was still possible to schedule a viewing and make an offer. I was told I would receive a call back soon. However, this did not happen, so I called again. Now I was supposed to be called back in the morning 2 days later. This didn't happen again. After I contacted them myself, it turned out that the deadline for making an offer had already passed by 1 hour. After expressing my dissatisfaction about this, I was told that an offer would not be taken seriously without first scheduling a viewing. In other words, if you are abroad or have a busy job, you might as well continue living in a rental property. Since Mrs. probably already had the commission anyway, she felt it necessary to treat someone who is interested so unfriendly and unprofessionally. Ultimately, the owner of MK makelaars called and emailed me and apologized for the situation. Both my girlfriend and I greatly appreciated this and with this the matter is settled. We were particularly disappointed in the actions of the colleague in question. Hopefully this was a one-off occurrence and we will have positive experiences with MB makelaars in the future.

Where we were initially skeptical about a buyer's agent (too expensive, quick handshake with the seller), Mike from MB Makelaars has more than debunked this prejudice! Firstly, the rate charged is very low. At first, we thought this couldn’t be true, but this rate turned out to be correct after all. And although Mike has gone to great lengths for us, there hasn't been a word mentioned about payment so far. This will of course be settled properly through the notary, but a party that works so enthusiastically for you without immediately starting to talk about costs gives a pleasant and trustworthy feeling. With our first house, we might have already been out of the running because we had already made a very low offer ourselves, but with the second house where Mike was involved from the beginning, we were ultimately able to buy the house.
