The owner of this company is okay, but her staff is not well-trained and generally the procedures are substandard for international clients. The staff are not used to thinking out of the box; they prefer the standard Dutch situation with a payroll administrator and a mortgage. If your situation is different, you will have problems. For example, if your financing comes from abroad and/or you already arranged your own financing (no mortgage), they panic and demand to see your Facebook or LinkedIn profile. Without this profile, they advise the seller not to accept your offer! In other words: while elsewhere in the world you are applauded for having your affairs in order and being treated as a VIP client, that is not the case in the Netherlands and here. Instead, you are treated like a third-class citizen or a suspect. In my case, because another bid had already been made on the property I was interested in, several employees told me reluctantly that I was entitled to make an offer, but they were not really happy about it...

We were helped by Hans from Re/Max. We ended up with him through connections but are more than satisfied with the help we received. Initially, we did the viewings ourselves, but later we had his assistance during the viewings. The advantage of this is that he paid attention to the technical aspects and we could focus on the feeling. Ultimately successful in finding a beautiful house in Nieuwegein.
