Bad experience with the owner/broker During the viewing on Friday, we hardly received any information about the property. When we asked how the further process would proceed, we were told that there was no closing date and that we could simply submit a bid by email or phone. On Monday, we made an offer, on Tuesday we called, and in the afternoon on Tuesday, we received an email saying that the house had already been sold. During telephone contact, we received a vague and confusing story. Apparently, another party had already submitted a bid on Friday or Saturday, which was initially insufficient. Subsequently, a counter-offer was made and accepted without informing us about it (we are talking about 0 working days). Nevertheless, he repeatedly stated that if it doesn't go through, I will call you! but also that the reconsideration period has already passed and it is final. And the house still stands “for sale” on Funda. No communication, no transparency. Everything was unprofessional. Not a pleasant experience. We won’t be using DE WEKKER Makelaardij again. Sidenote: giving the 1 star review shows a pattern.

While writing this message, I read a review where someone complained about busyness and portrayed themselves as a victim. I find that a bit unfair, because we also viewed many houses and experienced the same problems. Some houses attract 80 to 90 interested parties, and a real estate agent simply cannot schedule separate appointments for all these people. Suppose a real estate agent spends half an hour with each of 80 people, you are already just busy with viewings for a week, and with the handling it quickly takes three weeks. The seller often wants to sell the house within days. So I think it's unfair to assume bad intentions. It is better to be positive about good intentions, that is my opinion. We had a viewing at a property and got the strong impression that we were having a personal viewing because we were allowed to come and look between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM. However, it turned out that all interested parties were walking through the house at the same time, which felt very uncomfortable. The entire communication process also went very poorly. We bought our house through De Wekker (and will soon be able to officially receive the keys! :D). Arie actively thought along with us about the possibilities of the property and we were very well assisted. For example, we were kept well informed about permit applications around the complex and contact was made with the selling party so that we could measure things. In short: we are very satisfied!

Do not use this broker for appraisals in the Alphen aan den Rijn region. Incorrect valuation based on poorly comparable homes and no willingness to reconsider with clear arguments. Customer focus and service leave much to be desired. A pity about the time and money.

2x a call was made to Wekker; in the past to sell our house and recently to have our house appraised. Both times unfortunately disappointed in this real estate agent. For the sale of our house, they sent an apprentice who clearly wasn't very far along in his training. The appraisal was carried out based on assumptions and the communication was poor. There was a poor response to the contact form. For the first contact, I had to personally follow up later because the appraiser was on vacation. Later another request was sent, but no response was received. No good follow-up online. I would have at least expected them to approach me as a customer more actively. We therefore chose a different appraiser.
