Very bad real estate agency Ivo and ‘owner’ Bert van der Krogt in particular. From home, our realtor was not a realtor but worked at the Haagsche tramweg maatschappij (The Hague Tramway Company). The concept works with a commission basis that is not distributed among the office. Realtors themselves certified by Remax (not NVM recognized) only earn from their own sales. A model that does not help you as a client. In an already difficult housing market, potential buyers are therefore not referred in your interest of sale. Because this does not serve the realtor’s own interest. Many excuses during the sale about the duration. The sun is shining, people are lying on the beach. It's raining, so people are sitting inside. Open house routes must be facilitated themselves. In addition to under the supervision of owner Bert van der Krogt, a sale to a third party was arranged via our media paid package. For a house belonging to the daughter of realtor Ivo who sold it privately. Shady at the very least. After placing this on the table and indicating that we no longer wanted Remax to mediate (three-quarters of a year in the sale), we switched despite all threats from Bert. The NVM realtor needed 1 open house route and the house was sold. Oo an expert and relieving way. The brokerage is too good to be true here but please think carefully about this. There’s a reason for it. In Leidschendam, they are known in the real estate world as shady. We have since spoken with many more victims.

But Marteen was always friendly and extremely professional from the start. He took the time to listen to me and advise me throughout the entire process of finding and buying the house. Ivo, my real estate agent, had a good tip to have my garden photographed already in the summer, since my house would be put up for sale in March. Then everything is still quite bare. He really thought along and also acted quickly and adequately to my advantage as a seller. The seller's interest really comes first. Very bad realtor. We were kept on the line for months, it turned out to be to stimulate the sale of the realtor's daughter. We wanted to lower the price but were advised not to do so and to wait. This later proved because the realtor was secretly working with a potential buyer for his daughter in the same block (no longer a client of Remax). Her house was sold privately to someone who had responded to our advertisement. No good experiences with realtors Ivo and Bert, where multiple complaints of the same nature appeared to be running (Ivo). After filing a complaint about this with owner Bert van der Krogt, our property was used as bait for other viewings in the same block. Coincidentally, Remax's own owner was acting as the selling realtor. It turns out it’s not one cohesive team that advocates for sellers. But everyone for themselves. A viewing in the same block is then never sent to the internal competitor unless the commission is for the same realtor. This model is not explained. We requested open house routes but these were dismissed with an excuse (colleague is on vacation/works part-time etc.). During a viewing, a potential buyer is already directed to one specific salesperson. Nice if you happen to be with the right realtor within the office. Unfortunately, we didn’t have that luck. In addition to this deplorable way of acting. Errors appearing on Funda, delays, no market data available during the process, poor communication. A lot to do and figure out yourself. And three times they forgot to lock up the house after a viewing. Only when we finally switched to an NVM-affiliated realtor did we receive a wonderfully clear portfolio, sales statistics, strategy, and good advice. Then we received another threat by email, stating that selling to contacts of the Remax office would lead to a commission debt to them. Quite a shock when your house isn’t sold because a realtor is using your resources for his own daughter. We had to go get the keys ourselves, and they left the overturned plant in the house as angry thanks. A Remax realtor is not an NVM realtor, that's our experience. Never thought it but it really makes a difference. The commission is very favorable, but you’re better off going with Makelaarsland. You can already see this from the fact that they get a Remax diploma to become a realtor for a small amount instead of undergoing longer training and investing in becoming an NVM realtor. In a market where there is little supply, this probably works fine. But the difference becomes painfully clear in a market where there is more choice. For us NEVER Remax again. And certainly not the office in Leidschendam.

A worse realtor is not imaginable. Mistakes were made in every phase of the sale: incorrect measurement of the surface area, wrong asking price on Funda, incorrect floor plans on Funda, not answering emails and phone calls, very slow action when we finally had an interested buyer, clumsy behavior of the realtor, never giving any feedback about the visitor numbers on Funda. In short, very unprofessional and unreliable.

Without him, we probably wouldn't have been able to buy the house at all. Straightforward and direct action, exactly what you are looking for in a purchasing agent.

Called multiple times to inquire about the availability of several rental properties and each time I was spoken to curtly and unfriendly on the phone. Not helpful at all. As far as I'm concerned, they should all attend a customer service course, because their score in that area is a solid 1.
