Do not rent from or do business with easymakelaars. There is virtually no contact between these real estate agents and their landlords, making it impossible to find out what is actually happening with the property. During the viewing, I was told that the gas water heater would be replaced by an electric one. I was happy about this, because if I had to pay for gasoline, it would exceed my budget. When it wasn't replaced after my move and I asked the landlord, he said there was no such plan and that I would have to pay for the gasoline. A conversation with easymakelaars was not particularly useful. They didn’t know what I was talking about and were certain that the electric water heater had been installed. That wasn't the case. Without my consent, they tried to ‘resolve’ the situation by passing on my name and contact details to a company that organizes energy contracts, as if their dishonesty was my problem to solve. Your privacy is certainly not a concern of theirs. The rental agreement was vague because it contained nothing about who was responsible for paying for the gasoline. Presumably, it was written when fantasies about electric water heaters were still realistic. Due to this vagueness, every legal solution I sought was answered with: “You don’t have strong arguments to pursue this.” Either easymakelaars is maliciously deceitful or completely incompetent. Don't bother and don't trust a word of what they say.
