When I called to schedule a viewing, I waited 20 min. on hold after which I was disconnected. I called again and waited another time. When I finally got through to them, I said that I had been waiting a long time and before I could finish my sentence, the lady, in a certain tone, said: “we are busy, the phone is glowing red.” I finished my sentence and said that the connection was dropped after 20 min. To which she replied, with a slightly sarcastic tone: “That’s annoying”. I asked if I could view the property and the answer was short: “No, that's not possible anymore”. And we hung up. I found the whole experience so unsettling, especially the tone, that I am taking the trouble to write a review about it.

Property purchased and is not being delivered as agreed, the notary also fails to follow up on appointments through them, the property is no longer removed from their website, calls are made multiple times, emails receive no response, in a word, a worthless company with which you absolutely should not do business

Never been there before but I know the people and they seem nice to me.

Arrogant realtor, too lazy to put themselves out for you - only go for their own profit. Don't call back as agreed and don't respond to emails either.

Very unprofessional broker doesn't call back, gives little advice and upon termination because there have been no viewings for a year already points to cancellation costs because they are going to miss out on the commission.

I rented through Fryslan Homes last year and everything went well. The final inspection also went very smoothly, with no unnecessary costs being charged. Satisfied!

Where do I begin... We were looking for a detached house with plenty of space and peace. We found a beautiful property on Funda that fell within our budget. Responding via Funda wasn't possible, so you have to call. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a challenge; Fryslan Homes is difficult to reach. Making an appointment was also tricky because it was quite a drive. Why would you take on a job that’s far outside your 'reach'. Well, once we finally made an appointment, we arrived at the property - a beautiful 90s house with a driveway for 3 cars. Unfortunately, we couldn't park on the driveway because the realtor had parked his excessively large Jeep so that no car could be placed in front or behind it. 'Okay, then we have to park the car along the very narrow street.' Once inside, the realtor quickly let us look around independently because he absolutely needed to sit on a chair to play with his phone. Totally uninterested in his potential clients. We had asked about the condition of the house and whether any leaks were known. The realtor assured us that the property was in excellent condition and that there were no signs of leaks. Despite the negative signals, we still decided to make an offer on the property. Eventually reached an agreement. During the transfer, we were of course excited to receive our first home. During the final inspection, we walked through the house and noticed that the boiler was set to service mode. 'Just needs topping up,' I thought. Unfortunately, it turned out that the boiler was broken. When we reported the problem to the realtor (on the same day as handover), we received a message saying that the file had already been closed. Oh great, let a service technician come... damage 350 euros. A few days later, it started raining and rainwater began to seep down through the spotlights in the bay window. When we tried again to get an explanation from the realtor, he stated that he was not aware of this because the seller had filled out forms stating that the house was in excellent condition. Remarkable, as the realtor and the seller were friends with each other. Now you can naturally find fault with the fact that we didn't have a structural inspection carried out, but the realtor has an information duty. The realtor and the seller knew very well what they were selling, but decided not to be honest about it. The realtor in question, Marco van Leeuwen, did not intend to be honest about his dealings. So be warned and don’t fall for his nice stories. He is unreliable and lies to line his own pockets. Now Marco de Leeuw will probably give a clever response to this story, but never forget: a warned person counts for 2! So be wise and do not do business with this unreliable realtor. Unless of course you are out to sell a bad house, he can do that best. In these times Marco will sell his little houses, but one day the tides will turn and Fryslân Homes will have to rely on reviews on the internet. I hope everyone learns something from our story…

They are the organization that our landlord hired without communication as a manager of our apartment. They are extremely unclear and do not help. There are always costs associated with their help, which I find very unfortunate.

A telephone appointment was cancelled at the last minute via email with the excuse that some simple questions that could also have been asked and answered verbally during the appointment had not been completed.

Thanks to Fryslân Homes we found an apartment on time. They were very helpful with everything, they called us a few hours after the viewing to tell us that they had chosen us. Everything went smoothly, we only had a small problem with one of the windows, which they resolved faster than expected. We would like to thank Maikel and the office staff. Update following the response from Fryslan Homes: These 2 situations would, as described, benefit Fryslan Homes and partially refute my review. Unfortunately, this does not reflect the reality of the situations that occurred, and a deliberately distorted picture is being presented. This review also concerns more than 2 short-lived situations but about a multitude of interactions over a period of 2 years. Although I will not go into specific details from our file, as these do not belong on this platform, I do want to emphasize that the manner of responding, in my opinion, is unprofessional. This response unfortunately confirms what I already described: Fryslan Homes seems to have difficulty acknowledging mistakes and does not shy away from protecting itself, even if it means exceeding the boundaries of AVG legislation. It would have suited Fryslan Homes if they had acknowledged that their actions detracted from our living enjoyment. Finally, the response again illustrates the authoritarian attitude of Fryslan Homes. As soon as they are challenged, they seem willing to do anything to protect their reputation. Original review: Our experience as tenants with Fryslan Homes over a period of two years was a story of mainly negatives. On one hand, the processes of registration, key handover, final inspection and the eventual payout were strikingly efficient. However, these positive notes stood in sharp contrast to our daily experiences, which were predominantly negative. The interaction with Fryslan Homes was often challenging, marked by unreachability and an impersonal, authoritarian approach. It seemed as if the focus was mainly on serving its own interests, with minimal attention to the needs and well-being of us as tenants. This attitude created a significant gap, reinforced by what appeared to be professional tunnel vision within a large part of the organization. Conversations were approached with a predetermined negativity and a lack of flexibility, indicating a serious lack of empathy and customer focus. The need to contact the owner directly, a step we ultimately took, highlighted Fryslan Homes' failure to fulfill its fundamental role: facilitating a positive living and rental experience. All this highlights for me an important issue: the relationship between tenant and landlord is delicate. While a tenant (legally) stands firmly on his feet, there is inherently a degree of dependence that requires respect and transparency. Our experience shows that Fryslan Homes fell short in this regard, which had a negative impact on our living enjoyment, despite a beautiful location and home.

Fryslan Homes requests a lot of personal data such as copies of ID cards, payslips, bank statements and employer declarations to be eligible for a home. After the ultimately successful registration, I received an email stating that I had been deregistered due to not providing all necessary information. This was incorrect. Attempted to make telephone contact, which only succeeded after a few days. I was told that the property was being withdrawn from rental.

The people who work there are not skilled at all and unprofessional. They are only out to get money from your pockets because they charge money for everything, and if you have a defect notification that you would normally say is for the Landlord, they charge it to the Tenant. They are nice and accommodating until you sign the contract, then they can no longer do anything for you and are unreachable. BE WARNED! DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Storage units must be created online; this is being addressed too late. You're then left with a heavily pregnant woman and a blocked toilet. They know how to sell everything well, but they can’t take action.

Professional, honest and decisive. We rented a fantastic house from them. Nice people, extremely fast response time and simply a professional company. They have skilled tradespeople available for repairs who also come quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by this as well. They listen carefully and no effort is too much. If it should be necessary, they are the first ones I will contact again.

Wolves in sheep's clothing. Fryslan Homes. seems like a broker, but it isn't. The employees don’t keep appointments. Don’t call back. And be careful during the handover. They give compliments that it was handed over neatly. Only a small damage that needs to be repaired by a professional. So the deposit remains behind. Of course, it takes some time before the professional is available. Regular contact. And suddenly there's an email, because they don’t respond by phone, the deadline has passed. Why. Where does it say what the deadline is. And the deposit is gone. . I want to warn you about these wolves in sheep's clothing

Unfortunately, my experience with this rental agency has been particularly disappointing. Firstly, their accessibility was a major problem. It often took days before we received any response, if we received one at all. Furthermore, the website was a nightmare to work with. Uploading documents was a time-consuming and frustrating task because it didn't work, and when we reported the problems, they insisted that everything was working properly. The fact that both my partner and I experienced the same issues made it clear that something was fundamentally wrong. We even sent several screenshots via email, but they continued to insist that it worked fine. Also, we were not allowed to send our documents via email because the website “just works”. You feel completely misunderstood and against the wall. Especially since urgent housing was needed. The lowest point of our experience was the rude treatment by the woman who served as our first point of contact. Her attitude was far from professional and she seemed completely uninterested in solving our problems. All of this caused us an unnecessary amount of stress and frustration that made us stop working with this company. Overall, I would strongly advise against this rental agency to anyone looking for a smooth and stress-free rental experience. Their lack of accessibility, technical issues, and lack of customer service make it an absolutely poor choice.

No response to emails, and no contact despite being called multiple times. Poor service and the website is not well organized.

Even if you wanted to, renting a home through Fryslan Homes will not work. I have already responded multiple times to a property from Fryslan Homes and so far, each time I’ve received an email after about a week saying they haven't received all the data. This while it was definitely uploaded and received. Even after uploading, I still receive the same email two weeks later. When I tried to contact Fryslan Homes by phone (I wanted to know what they were doing with my data since they seem to be losing it), it wasn’t possible to speak to an employee from the automated message. This eventually worked via email. She indicated that communication had been sent stating that pets were not allowed in the property, including a date. I never received this email and would have really liked to find this information in the advertisement. This would have saved me the trouble of uploading endless amounts of documents. Perhaps the email was sent to another interested party to whom they linked my data. I see Fryslan Homes’ response as ‘the properties are going like hotcakes,’ but even after 3 months, I can still respond to the same properties, so that also turns out not to be entirely true.

Professional and reliable. My daughter and I rented the house. The first conversation went well and after a week we received the keys. Telephone and email communication always goes well. I recommend Fryslan Home.

Reachability and communication are important points of attention. There is no response to emails, nor to return call requests. My son, a student, who had to prematurely terminate his internship, has paid 1027,95 to be allowed to terminate his rental agreement earlier. In return for this, he expects Fryslan Homes to look for a new tenant, so that he does not have to serve out the entire duration of his rental agreement. Unfortunately, his apartment in Ternaard is still not listed in the rental stock and there has been no further action. “Fryslan homes gives more”…..is stated on their website….more, to line their own pockets. And yes, we feel it deep down…...severe abdominal pain even, because my son has to borrow extra money and struggle to pay the rent. Very unfortunate and hopefully Fryslan Homes will adjust its services with all available resources.
