The most terrible experience I've ever had in the Netherlands since my arrival in 2021. When checking out of the rented apartment, the director of the Mauritshuis, Eric, shouted at me and stamped his feet. He also insulted my husband when he spoke to him via email. Possibly racist and sexist. Absolutely unprofessional. I would give negative stars if that were possible.

The collaboration with all the people of 't Mauritshuis Makelaars has been very pleasant. In all cases, they stand before, beside and behind you. Professional, open and friendly.

If I could give zero stars to this realtor, I would have. Owner, at least that's what I think, an older man, incredibly arrogant and condescending. Had already heard rotten stories about this realtor, but now know for sure from my own experience: I don't want to do business with this realtor, I've never experienced anything like it.

I have had a very unpleasant experience with this realtor. The owner, Eric van de Heuvel, discriminated against me and gave negative advice based on that. Mr. Van den Heuvel was very unfriendly in his communication, bordering on rude. Very arrogant and definitely not recommended. It has since been learned that at least one person has had a similar experience with the same gentleman. (Update June 3, 2025: The original text has been marginally adjusted following a letter from Mr. Van den Heuvel's lawyer and the real estate agency. The truth can walk naked through the streets, but lies must dress up well.)

Very bad experiences with this office, which improperly profits from the high number of people looking for housing. Asking an irresponsibly high rent and then also presenting a much too high number of square meters with nice talk, about 24% more than reality. Also various equipment turned out to be quite outdated during the rental period. We were too trusting, naive. Yes, very stupid, hence this reaction. Those involved are making significant profits if you, as a potential tenant, have nowhere else to go. Fortunately, we found something else reasonably on time.

Engaged, experienced and service-oriented real estate agent who knows how to connect with the client and is truly looking for the why behind supply and demand. Thinks broadly and relieves you as a seller. Has a plan and adjusts it where necessary in consultation based on developments. Erik knows how to make a difference as a real estate agent and certainly recommends him!

Perfect guidance and expert, market-oriented advice and recommendations; always reachable; taking action immediately when necessary. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Truly fantastic. 't Mauritshuis in Oosterbeek is truly top and definitely recommended to potential sellers.

We moved to Arnhem during the Covid-19 pandemic and had to choose a place without actually viewing it due to the restrictions. Eric, Fabian and the team helped us find the right rental property, which was in excellent condition. Slow in returning the security deposit.

The Mauritshuis team is amazing! They found a perfect tenant for us, took care of the check-in and check-out, and did the maintenance throughout the year. We highly recommend them!

Not professional and very poor communication. They also do not update their listings on Funda and Pararius websites. Despite sending multiple emails and talking on the phone, their response is quite lukewarm. Never received answers to questions asked. Forget about the deposit for the rental. Very discouraging remarks. It appears they don't like working with expats. Not recommended for expats.

Rental agents often act solely in the interest of the landlord. In this respect, ‘t Mauritshuis distinguishes itself enormously from the rest of the market: the (prospective) tenant stands alongside the landlord at ‘t Mauritshuis in a shared first place and that is commendable. Work is done based on trust and communication proceeds remarkably smoothly. The enormous work ethic of agent Floris van ‘t Mauritshuis and the desire to really help us resulted in us now living in a beautiful penthouse. Thank you for your hard work, your patience, the pleasant communication and above all: your willingness to help us!

Mauritshuis was exceptional in their service. They performed a great screening of apartments, showing only the best quality on the market. They were very fast, responsive and everything was done in my interest. I would highly recommend them!

Poor communication, terribly handled and when a complaint and frustration was expressed, they put us on a blacklist and called the owner to tell him that he shouldn't rent to us. Contacted the owner to file a complaint, who promised to take this into consideration and promptly went on vacation! Companies like these should not be allowed to operate in modern society, stay away.

I rented through Mauritshuis. Not returning deposit.
