We loved it and rented it for five years. Unfortunately, I can only give one star because they treated us so badly when we moved out. Please ask for an inspection report signed by you and a representative from Housing Coach at the time of leaving a Housing Coach apartment. This is really important. We were unaware of this, as we are expats in The Hague and were not familiar with Dutch rental laws. Our real estate agent was very aware of our expat status and it seems he took advantage of that situation. Not only did we lose our deposit of more than 2000 euros, but we also had to pay Housing Coach an additional 700 euros for repairs to the apartment. We agreed with the Housing Coach real estate agent that we would pay for repainting the walls and removing the anti-slip coating, but not for the rest. He claimed he was very honest, but that he had determined his own honesty and that there had never been any discussion about it with us. Instead of trying to reach an agreement, he threatened to send a bailiff to our employer to make us pay the remaining balance after we paid the agreed-upon half which we found reasonable. He never sent us proof that he had started legal proceedings against us. Was it just scare tactics? We don't know. So please ask for an inspection report before the inspection to protect yourselves and prevent such disputes.
