Wij wisten hier niets van, omdat we expats zijn die in Den Haag wonen en de fijne kneepjes van de Nederlandse huurwetgeving niet kenden. Onze makelaar was zich er terdege van bewust dat we expats waren en het lijkt erop dat hij daar misbruik van heeft gemaakt. We zijn niet alleen onze borg van meer dan 2000 euro kwijtgeraakt, maar moesten Wooncoach daar bovenop ook nog eens meer dan 700 euro betalen voor reparaties. We hadden met de makelaar afgesproken dat we de kosten voor het opnieuw schilderen van de muren en het verwijderen van de babybeveiliging zouden betalen, maar niet voor de rest. Hij beweerde dat hij heel eerlijk was, maar die eerlijkheid had hij zelf bepaald en nooit met ons besproken. In plaats van te proberen tot een overeenkomst te komen, dreigde hij een deurwaarder naar onze werkgever te sturen om ons de rest van de rekening te laten betalen, nadat we de overeengekomen helft, die we redelijk vonden, al hadden betaald. Hij heeft ons nooit bewijs gestuurd dat hij een rechtszaak tegen ons was aangespannen. Was het gewoon intimidatie? We weten het niet. Vraag daarom om een ​​inspectierapport om uzelf in te dekken en dit soort geschillen te voorkomen.
