For several years now, we have been using Makelaarshuis Zaanstad for the rental of our homes in Amsterdam. Ruud and Chanel are very professional and, in addition to good advice, the rentals also go very quickly. They rented out 2 properties for us in just 2 weeks two months ago. All tenants are serious people because they are carefully selected. We have been renting for a long time and have never come across such a good real estate agency.

They found a house for me and moved me within a short time. Although I couldn't reach anyone occasionally during the process, the entire process went smoothly.

Half May I came to the Netherlands. Chanel helped me very well in finding a house half June. Although I can only move per 1-8, I was very happy that I could find a suitable house on the very warm rental market. Chanel is very good at making appointments for house viewings and will also help to pay attention to small details when we look at the house together. My colleagues used Chanel before to help them find a house, and they have all recommended/praised her.

Initially, I was very satisfied with the provider. Only later was I deceived by the owner regarding the refund due to me. I understand that Makelaarhuis is paid by the owner of the unit, and that's the problem. You hear phrases like: 'here in the Netherlands we do it this way'. Totally incorrect statement. Know your rights and operate within the rules of the country, and not the words of the rental broker.

When my husband and I knew that we were moving to Amsterdam, my friend Ruud strongly recommended it to us. It was the best start! I knew within minutes that this was the man who would travel with us to find our house! Ruud helped us at every step in the housing market of The Crazy Amsterdam. The process from "introduction with broker Joshua" to "the sale" went very well! He and his team were very flexible, always available, clear and concise in their communication (no noise, to the point). Most importantly, I found that they thought along with me, had expertise, gave unsolicited advice and that they "take care of you". Very pleasant and positively minded team!

We were lucky that Joshua was our real estate agent. He helped us find our dream apartment in Amsterdam. Firstly, he helped us set realistic expectations about what we could get with our budget. This way we knew which places to view and didn't waste time on places we couldn't afford. He also gave us access to the Move platform, allowing us to see which houses would appear on Funda the next day and book viewings earlier. Subsequently, he viewed the locations with us and advised us on the right amount to offer. What was particularly helpful is that he is also an appraiser (‘taxateur’). He can very well estimate what a place is worth. In short, without Joshua we would not have found our new home and would recommend him to everyone who wants to buy a property in Amsterdam!
