Very nice realtor. Involved in the process and always kept us informed during the purchase of a house. When they promised to call, they always followed up on that. Perhaps this is seen as logical, but we have also had bad experiences with this.

We chose to have Verdoold makelaars inspect a property for the 2nd time and have a structural report drawn up. It concerned a house from 1830. Verdoold makelaars initially wanted to receive 2500 euros if the sale went ahead. I reduced this amount to 2200, which is quite expensive especially because other offices in the region calculated 'no cure no pay'. But I had confidence. A viewing with reporting would cost 450 euros. Now Jan came along for the viewing and then had a cup of coffee. Afterwards we heard nothing for 2 weeks, no report, nothing. But we did receive an invoice of 250 euros for the viewing. We didn't get a report and he states in the email that he can still create it??? And charges 450 euros. The house was sold 4 months ago. He sends proof via email. But forgets that my email reply stating that this wasn’t the agreement clearly shows in the timestamp. We transferred the money, but I do not recommend this realtor.

For the purchase of a home in Gouda, we engaged Niels Verdoold. Initially, we did not plan to engage a purchasing agent and visited several houses ourselves. Through a colleague, I was convinced to have a conversation with Niels, and it felt right immediately. The big difference between independently buying a house and doing so with Niels is that Niels actually created a lot of clarity for us by asking the right questions. In addition, he was also sharp on technical aspects and the expected maintenance of the homes over the coming years. If we move again in the future, I will call Niels directly.
