When we found a long-term apartment sooner than expected, we received our money back directly, after notice period. These are significant moving costs, but it really offered the best aspects of a hotel - amenities, utilities, cleaning service, combined with the best aspects of an AirBnB - the ability to register with a host family, a complete kitchen and privacy.
