There is a difference between 'setting my boundaries' and 'being rude'. The real estate agent with whom I was supposed to have a viewing was extremely rude because I was a few minutes late. Although I understand the importance of time, adults should behave according to what is appropriate for their age. An anonymous real estate agent called me to tease me because I was late for my appointment. I reported that and they said it was fine, because it would only take 10-15 minutes. He said that he is old-fashioned and that it doesn't matter to him why I was late, and that I should be present an hour earlier to make sure I am on time (his time is important, but the customer's time does not interest him). In the end he said: 'I'm sorry, but I will not show you the house. Take the train now and go back to Rotterdam.' PS: Toddlers have better social skills.
