Fenomenal service from Sem - I'm really impressed by the professionalism and the quick delivery of the house!

I would like to share my very negative experience with Beau van Lelieveld from House Hunting Eindhoven. On September 25, 2025, I went with a number of other candidates to view two apartments in the same building. These were the apartments we had applied for, but Beau showed us completely different apartments. Everyone complained about it and Beau admitted that he was not aware of the mistake and that only these two apartments were available at the time. Later, we all received an automatic email from the system asking if we wanted to apply for the apartments we had just viewed. These clearly did not match what we originally applied for, which was clearly Beau's mistake. On Sunday, September 28, 2025, around midday, Beau called me directly. He told me that there was still another apartment in the same building available, that he could send me a video and that I had to let him know by the following day (Monday) if I was interested. He also clearly indicated that I was the only candidate for this property. I told him that I had an appointment at 1:00 PM on Monday with another real estate agent for a different apartment for which I had already paid a deposit, but that I would cancel it if I could rent the apartment he mentioned. Beau confirmed that he would pick up the keys from the current tenants at 3:00 PM on Monday and that I could view the apartment at 4:00 PM. That same evening (Sunday night) I sent him a confirmation email stating that I wanted to rent the apartment. On Monday, I went to my 1:00 PM appointment, canceled the other apartment and therefore lost my deposit. I did this because I trusted Beau's word. However, on Monday, despite multiple emails, I received no response. Around 3:50 PM, I even went personally to the House Hunting office. To my shock, Beau told me that the apartment had already been rented out to someone else. He claimed that I should have confirmed on Sunday, which is nonsense because (1) I did send him a confirmation email on Sunday night, and (2) we had agreed that I would view the apartment at 4:00 PM on Monday, after he picked up the keys at 3:00 PM. His excuse was simply not credible. Meanwhile, during the very first viewing on September 25, Beau had spoken privately in Dutch with two local girls who were also there, exchanged contact information with them, and as I later understood, had helped them arrange the apartments. None of us (non-Dutch speakers) understood their private conversation. This raises serious questions about honesty and even discrimination. In the end, I was misled, financially disadvantaged and treated completely unprofessionally. I lost money, wasted time and was effectively 'ghosted' by Beau. Moreover, the next day someone from the office called me to say that the type of apartment I wanted was actually available again – something Beau himself had never told me the day before. Why? What is going on here? At this point, I can no longer trust Beau at all. Whether he is now violating the Dutch rental law, misleading clients or even trying to make private deals outside of office hours, I don't know. But something is seriously wrong. I do not want to bring the entire company into disrepute, but I strongly advise both tenants and landlords never to get involved with Beau van Lelieveld. His behavior has caused me financial loss, stress and missed opportunities.

I have the idea that the positive reviews are timid because what a dramatic club this is. No reaction on various matters: *when there are items to be handed over to the new tenant, would it be that sustainable and also attractive for the new tenant? No reaction. Multiple times called / emailed - just no reaction-.... *a candidate had contacted for a property, would get a response via email, but it didn't happen, multiple times called and emailed, just no reaction. It's a real pain that such a company communicates so poorly, read: not at all. So you can avoid this organization, do that then.

A very professional, efficient and friendly agency. I have a very positive impression. Especially Lilian was very helpful and patient, for which we are very grateful to her.
