The reason for this was that they had been keeping an eye on us for some time, and it was noted that I was visiting my girlfriend outside of weekends. I was actually told that I could only invite her over on weekends. Absurd if you ask me. Afterwards, I received a letter on September 26 stating that I had to pay €100 in addition to the previously agreed rent as of October 1; again very late and very unprofessional. From November, I terminated the rental agreement and I was aware of the reviews about Houserent that they never return the deposit and that I shouldn't start paying the last month, but I didn't want to stoop to the level of the two gentlemen and just paid the last rent. To my regret, because Houserent, as expected, does not adhere to the rules and does not refund the deposit within the agreed month. After insisting, I was told that we had to pay for a broken window in the house where we haven't been for longer than a month. During the handover, they told us that everything was fine and that we would receive the deposit back within a month, but nothing could be further from the truth. Think twice before doing business with House Rent Leeuwarden and look beyond the sweet talk.
