Disappointing experience purchasing a home through Klaver Makelaardij (Schoorl). We purchased a house where Klaver Makelaardij acted as the selling agent. During the purchase process, several crucial issues were not, incorrectly or too late reported, despite explicit questions from our side. For example, after the handover, among other things, there were ambiguities regarding the property boundary, previous roof leaks and various technical defects that were not mentioned during viewings and the final inspection. The final inspection took place without the presence of the seller; only the agent was present on their behalf. Afterwards, it turned out that information provided by the agent before the purchase did not match or was contradicted by the seller and their lawyer. This has led to discussions and considerable repair costs. We have experienced this process as careless and not transparent, and based on our experience, we cannot recommend Klaver Makelaardij as an agent.

In all those years that we had Klaver Makelaardij as our advisor, it was always a pleasant contact. In that regard, they have always supported us well. Their focus is solely on profit maximization. The employees are not skilled and provide incorrect information during viewings and sales regarding essential matters that a real estate agent should be aware of. As a buyer, you expect to receive correct information, but that is not the case here. I have seen a lot in the world of real estate agents, but this borders on deception. This agency is taking advantage of the current market, where buyers often have to bid over asking price and may impose as few conditions as possible in order to stand any chance of getting a property. The fact that they are also affiliated with NVM makes it all the more regrettable. In short: a lot of window dressing and a practice that damages trust in real estate brokerage.

“Broker” Geert Klaver lets an interested buyer down, fails to show up for a viewing and does not advocate for the interests of his client. Appointment made on Tuesday, July 13 at 10:00 AM with Geert Klaver to view Middenweg 196 (De Eenhoorn). We waited half an hour for nothing. Called the office as to why no one was there. The answer was that Geert was in negotiation with a buyer. Very unprofessional not to inform us of this and cancel the appointment. Geert Klaver told us when making the appointment (where he only talked about the disadvantages of the object) that the party he was negotiating with had made three ridiculous offers. He would let us know if the viewing appointment we made with him personally might not take place. He did not do that. Very unprofessional to push us aside as a serious potential buyer for a party who, according to Geert Klaver himself (!), is negotiating far below the asking price. I cannot imagine that the selling party, the current owner of De Eenhoorn, is happy with this situation.

Geert Klaver, is a fast boy. Unfortunately, he doesn't do what he promises, wants to make money quickly. Is not averse to a slap on the wrist and intrigue behind the scenes. As a selling broker, he went out to eat with an interested party. He did not act respectfully towards the selling party.
