Stay away from this office! They convinced me to sign an exclusive agreement, but we couldn't find a house. A year later I bought a house outside of Europe and they harassed me to pay a fine for breaking the agreement!

I worked with Schieland Borsboom NVM Real Estate based on an exclusive purchase agreement. Although the team was sometimes friendly and responsive, the overall experience was disappointing. We visited about 10 homes and made 4 offers – including the highest bid on a house in Montfoort – but none resulted in a successful purchase. In some cases, requested viewings were never organized and progress was slow despite the urgency of my living situation. Ultimately, I had to find and buy a home myself without their involvement. Nevertheless, I was charged the full commission, which I paid to close the file. I believe that the value provided did not match the expectations raised at the beginning of the assignment. I share this experience to help others make well-informed decisions. Transparency is important when choosing a real estate agency.

VERY disappointing experience with Schieland Borsboom. No proactive follow-up, property received no attention at all, poor accessibility and even an agreement on a marketing package was never visibly executed – proof or invoice was completely missing, while they continued to claim otherwise. Upon cancellation of service, no contact, but immediately a bill AND threats of collection. The responsible person hides behind their employer, who then circulates emotional emails on behalf of the entire team with terms like 'stink for thank you' and everyone in CC. First: The delay in the property transfer was caused by the division of apartment ownership, which constitutes an overwhelming situation. According to the contract, no fine (interest compensation) may be charged in such cases. Second: One of your real estate agents (I can name it if necessary) clearly promised in an email that a supplementary agreement could be signed to confirm the new delivery date. Your company later avoided responsibility. Third: In my email, I indicated that I would write down my actual experience and publish it after review by a legal advisor. This is completely different from what you claim – that I was planning to 'damage your reputation publicly'. Make sure your claims are correct! Very good, friendly and professional real estate agent! I came into contact with Schieland Borsboom through the open appraisal days; they first evaluated the house several times. When it was time for sale, I immediately contacted them. Soon Nick came to get acquainted and explained in a presentation what the sales process would look like, as well as neatly outlining the costs and what is involved. Shortly after, the house went on sale and they helped me with all the steps and took care of everything. Even when there was a problem during the seller (from the buyer's side), they remained positive and continued with the same enthusiasm! If you do so in a motivated way, you receive texts like these in your email. Consider for yourself whether this is the party you want to enter into an agreement with. And to some extent, I also think that you are free to express your dissatisfaction to your network, but please ensure that it is not too large a network to prevent a claim from our side regarding image or reputational damage

We are going to buy a house through Borsboom. During the viewing, the sun blinds were broken. The real estate agent said that the VVE (Homeowners Association) would repair them but that it couldn't happen now because the container used for work on the facade was broken. When I called the VVE, it turned out that the container had not been broken, but also that they do not carry out the repair, but that this is the responsibility of the owner. When inquiring with the real estate agent, it was stated that the real estate agent (son Vincent) at the viewing never said this. We are essentially being called liars and there is no willingness to reach a solution. So be careful with this real estate agent and document everything they have said. You cannot trust that they are honest.

This broker walks through your house and then sticks the asking price on the property, whether it's worth it or not, and if there is obstruction from third parties who ask questions about the specific price, this broker involved his own appraiser who puts a report on the table to substantiate this asking price, but the photos that are provided are very skillfully selected so that no bad angles appear and all mold is not visible, and they gamble on the fact that the new owner will do nothing because they are already happy in this market that they already have a house. Example from practice: an apartment gets the asking price of €175000,- for 4 walls with 25 years of deferred maintenance costs K.K. At least €200000,- while the WOZ is €199000,- and then you still have to do the kitchen, bathroom and necessary construction work plus all frames are rotten that don't fall under the VvE and they have been doing this for years and maybe you should also ask yourself why this company has an office in the most expensive area of Rotterdam (Brainpark) which is what you ultimately have to pay or the future buyer of your house, dear readers sell your house yourself so that the housing market is not flooded with overpriced houses where no maintenance is done because people owe too much money on the purchase with all the consequences for you but also for your neighbors.

I am an expat and software developer. I moved to the Netherlands last year. So far, I have contacted many real estate agents and had the worst experience ever with Schieland Borsboom. Therefore, I must say that in my opinion, Schieland Borsboom is the worst and most unprofessional real estate agent in the Netherlands. If you are interested in an apartment through this agency, I highly recommend that you definitely do not hesitate and make a deal with another real estate agent. As everyone knows, finding a rental apartment in the Netherlands has unfortunately been a difficult situation for a long time and I really needed to find an apartment as soon as possible. While I was searching online for rental ads, I saw one of theirs. When I saw their ad, I was very excited and immediately called them to apply. Later, because my boss knew how difficult it was for me to find a place, he also wanted to contact them, so he called them too. They told me and my boss that we could come view the apartment and that they were different from other companies. They assured us that if we agreed, they would move quickly to the next step and help us as soon as possible with renting the apartment. When I heard this promising news, I became so happy and started to trust them. We had planned a viewing for that apartment at the time specified by the real estate agent, but they said there was no other option than that time. If you don't want to come at that time (you can actually not come, otherwise it wouldn't be a real estate agent if someone doesn't want to rent a place), you don't need to come again or call us to make an appointment at another time. I took leave from work, canceled my appointments and even arrived 15-20 minutes before the scheduled time at the address. But 10 minutes before our planned time, someone from them called me and said that the viewing was not possible today because we had received the wrong key. He said that the earliest possible viewing date would be next week, and therefore we planned a new date for the following week. This situation was very sad for me because I had taken leave from work. When their colleague called me, there were still 5-10 minutes left and I had already arrived at the address. During the phone call, I said that I could wait until they had received the correct key and then come back, but their colleague said that this was not possible and that the earliest possible date would be the following week. I repeated how uncomfortable I found this, and the person I spoke with on the phone mocked me, laughed at me and made me look ridiculous, even though my dissatisfaction was clearly audible in my tone. Nevertheless, I did not want to lower myself to their disrespectful level, so I said that I would wait until the following week, and I did. A day before the viewing scheduled for the following week, I heard that they had decided to change the viewing to an 'open house'. I sent emails and called several times, but I received no response. Nevertheless, I went to the 'open house' and sent all my personal documents. After that, I waited a week or ten days, and because I still had not received any message from them, I emailed them and called several times, but again I received no response, not even regarding the outcome (you can create a mass email or automatic email and that takes less than a minute). Moreover, it ended like this, without any response, while they had already rented out the apartment months ago. After that, I met someone I had met during the viewing and she told me how terrible Schieland Borsboom was as a company. She also said that they lied to people and gave the house to whoever they wanted, and that they arranged viewings with us as a formality, purely to waste our time. She was completely right, because the situation turned out exactly as described. Therefore, I strongly advise you to stay away from this company! They are completely disrespectful, unprofessional and a waste of time! Moreover, I am quite sure that most of the reviews are fake.
