Poor communication and does not keep appointments.

Bad experience with handover (both times) and also the contact is extremely difficult. Upon receiving the keys, agreements were not kept. A professional cleaning was supposed to take place, but there were still food remnants on the floor, mold in the refrigerator and bathroom, and leftover food in cupboards. The installer for the central heating boiler came for the annual inspection, pointed out that these boilers are incredibly dangerous and advised replacing them. This was reported, but nothing was done about it. They were even contradicted. When handing over the apartment, a deposit is withheld without a legally valid reason. To this day, no proof of 'damage incurred' has been seen. A bad experience in every area, a shame because the apartment was very pleasant to live in.

Really don't go into business with them, not a nice broker! Totally no pleasant experience with them, sluggish contact and doesn't keep appointments.

It often takes a while before repairs are carried out. Sometimes also depending on the stock of materials. Sander has been to my apartment several times for the ventilation system that isn't working properly, he takes his time and investigates what is wrong. Gives a clear explanation, excellent service!

We are very pleased with the way things are going within this real estate institution. Our son was looking for student accommodation and he registered on several expensive sites. He responded everywhere but never received a message back. Not even when he reacted to a studio via Funda with a private realtor. Zero reaction. Very frustrating. Still registered with another site: Campus Groningen. Cheapest so far. Scored a viewing the first day and hit the jackpot right away. Completely renovated little studio in the middle of town. Very small but super cute and fantastic location. Very pricey, though. But absolutely affordable with housing allowance luckily. Johannes was our rental realtor. Nice, quick guy who responds quickly. Viewing on Friday, message on Wednesday and pick up the keys on Monday. Meanwhile, he has already moved and settled in. Our son is ready for his adventure in Groningen thanks to his registration at Campus Groningen. Highly recommended. Once registered, you do need to invest some serious time checking the offerings. If a viewing date is mentioned, the viewing is fully booked within 3 minutes. But if you sit on the couch with a pot of tea for an afternoon, it will work out fine. We scored 3 in 2 days but luckily the first one was a hit!

I had a very good experience with Groningse Panden. After living in a student house for years, I was ready for something new. It was a difficult search to find a nice and pleasant place for myself, until I got in contact with Johannes Korten. In a conversation with him, I discussed my wishes and he looked at all the possibilities. He did his best to find something that suited me. We then ended up with my current home. He scheduled a viewing for me and I was immediately very enthusiastic. It is a beautifully renovated apartment. I can't even begin to tell it, because there would be no end. We had a female agent. I don’t think it’s legal if I give her a name... It was the worst experience any of us has ever had within a 'professional relationship'. Besides the fact that our agent did absolutely nothing but being incredibly rude, they also scammed us in the end. It's a very long story involving living in a mouse-infested house where nothing worked and constantly struggling to get out of this situation. We all found a new house a few months ago, but we are still paying rent and agency fees (whatever it is, we don’t know) for an empty house because they didn't want to let us go. The biggest problem was that they initially gave us a translated contract, but then made us sign a Dutch rental agreement that was naturally different from what we received. So be aware that they are milking the cow until the last drop. I also have funny stories about the agents shouting at me in the street because they THOUGHT I owed her money, because she doesn’t even know what is in the contract she gave us. I find it stupid to experience people making money from absolutely nothing and I don't know how they can sleep at night, knowing that they have not only ruined our year and probably also the coming year financially, but also brought my roommate into a depression because they had to live in what the landlord called the worst mouse-investment he has ever seen.
