Very fast in finding a house. I came from abroad and had been searching for something for months, and City Rental helped me to finally find something. Definitely recommended, very reliable.
Try reaching them and then you'll understand the review... I've called them 10 times at various different times and every time I get the message 'please state your name and phone number and we will call you back as soon as possible', it's crazy that I haven't heard anything after 2 weeks...
I had a great experience with City Rental. They were professional, knowledgeable and really paid attention to my needs. They managed to show me several apartments, and with their help I found the perfect apartment. They guide me through every step of the process, from start to move-in. I am very happy with the service and highly recommend them!
A MONEY-ORIENTED company this is!!! If you have decided to cancel at the last moment, they will still suppress you to pay for the so-called work that they have performed in the meantime. In addition, you must thoroughly inspect the property to see if everything is correct or working because once you are there, you are seriously screwed! For example: due to lack of ventilation, mold appears, and there was also too little heating in the property, making it extra cold in winter. Finally, read your contract carefully before signing because the LAW is followed according to the book but still the agreements are not met. My contract was suddenly terminated 6 weeks before renewal because the building was allegedly sold while new viewings already took place during my move. More than 6 weeks later, there has been no refund of the deposit or email received. Advice: DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH CITY RENTAL!
What a terrible company. They simply don't answer the phone. Don't communicate at all and don't abide by the rules.
For months I was unsuccessfully searching for homes and viewings before I finally enlisted the help of City Rental. I placed my search request online via their website and a few days later I received a message with photos and videos of an apartment that matched my wishes and budget. Within 48 hours they arranged a physical viewing and I signed the contract. It's not exactly a real estate agent, they only maintain contacts between landlords and prospective tenants, but do carry out the property inspection and hand over the keys. Emy is very friendly and has been super helpful in booking the registration appointment. Overall good experiences with their services.

This owner (David) rents to foreign students who were not familiar with Dutch law. He therefore takes advantage of the opportunity to subject them to his own rules. Do not expect technical support if something goes wrong, as they avoid their responsibilities. On the other hand, he knows how to be disrespectful when we, for example, insist on a repair. Finally, do not wait until you receive your full deposit back. He waits until the student has returned to their country to give back only part of it. He knows that the student will not be able to complain. SHAMEFUL to take advantage of young people. SHAMEFUL
Worst agency ever. They do not respect Dutch legislation (maximum number of people per house for example). They don't respond quickly when you have a problem and are disrespectful towards tenants. Even though there is a housing crisis in NL, please choose another agency to find your home! Do not enter into an agreement with a man named David. He is a fraudster
They are renting out apartments that are managed by fraudsters. Be careful of agencies. The owners do not provide advance payments for bills. Be especially cautious with the apartment on Strevelsweg, managed by owner David, an exceptional fraudster. I paid 2400e for a year of bills, 200e per month. I actually used utilities worth 1700 euros. He did not return the 700e to me and does not want to send the bills. Think twice if you don't want to lose money.

They want to make money at all costs and offer unhygienic houses for rent, which are very dangerous for people's health. Even the photos of the houses are misleading. Be careful, you risk being left on the street and your money getting stuck in appalling houses where even homeless people would never be able to live.
The worst rental company!!! No respect for tenants. They rent out houses full of cockroaches and mice. It may seem friendly and careful until you pay them. If you experience problems afterwards, they will simply ignore you.

As an expat, you can be confident that they will find a suitable rental property that fits your needs. Pros: low rent Cons: Just like my personal suggestion, the deposit must be returned within 15 days after the tenant has left. Especially if the tenant has kept the property in good condition and paid the rent on time without any reminders.
