We had verbally been allocated an apartment for sale in Hoogvliet at the asking price, last Friday afternoon. Congratulations all around! However, at 5:20 PM that same day we were told that there was a higher bid, and if we wanted to join in... I don't think that is allowed. The apartment had already been verbally allocated. We have since abandoned the purchase. A very strange course of events!

Very disappointing experience. I was called by the real estate agent with the enthusiasm that I could view the house and then received multiple emails as a reminder to arrive on time. However, when I was there, nobody was present. Later I heard that the house had already been sold before the appointment. This was supposedly passed on via voicemail, but I never received it. Very messy communication and disappointing that I didn't even get the chance to make an offer.
