A little too much pride and ego. Perhaps for the right reasons, but you need to understand that as a house seller (even in a seller's market like here) you need to have some empathy for the challenges of buyers. They did have a few good reviews and my Dutch friends advised me to get in touch, but it didn't work out for us. All the best!

As an expat, the thought of buying a home here in NL seemed like a utopia. The unprecedented level of demand and bidding culture in Amsterdam seemed daunting. But luckily I found Demi at SEM. From day one, Demi welcomed me to the SEM family and understood my requirements/preferences for the type of property. My experience with this real estate agent was disappointing. They attempted to sell the property without contacting me beforehand. During a court hearing, it was ultimately decided to remove this real estate agent from the sale. I found their attitude clearly biased, which resulted in me being disadvantageously treated and excluded in an unpleasant way. This seemed partly due to influence from a co-owner, whereby the real estate agent appeared to align with their interests in an opportunistic and easygoing manner. In my opinion, this behavior is in conflict with the rules of the NVM. I therefore cannot recommend this real estate agent.
