My husband and I had a disappointing experience with Laura, and I find it important to write this review because we were misled by the positive reviews. Laura asks for a part of her honorarium as an advance / 'start-up cost' (at that time 750 euros). This should have been a warning, because the common practice of purchase agents on the Dutch real estate market is a success fee ('no cure, no pay'), which means that the client/buyer usually pays nothing upfront. The payment is usually only due once a suitable property has been found and actually purchased by the client. We were looking for a property without noise disturbance and in a chic neighborhood of Maastricht and surroundings. Laura, however, mainly sent properties that did not meet the criteria at all, for example a property next to the landing strip of Maastricht Airport! Another property was located right next to a busy motorway, and instead of advising us against it, she had us travel for 3 hours one way for a viewing. She also suggested properties in less attractive neighborhoods of Maastricht, such as Mariaberg and in the surrounding area 'Parkstad'. We had the impression that her contacts with good sales agents were very limited, so she tried to convince us to buy one of the remaining houses on the market, hoping that unsuspecting expats would not notice the problems. Fortunately, and thanks to our own extensive research for each proposed property, we did not make that mistake. It eventually escalated when we decided to expand our search to another region in Limburg not mentioned in our written agreement with Laura and where she had no contacts. We let her know what we planned and initially she agreed in writing. A week later, however, she said that she would not agree after all, out of fear that she would be working for nothing. So she canceled our contract after 4-5 weeks, but kept the advance of €750. This happened after she had mainly sent us houses that did not meet the agreed criteria and thus could not show us any potentially suitable property! We felt completely abandoned in the middle of our overseas housing search on a seller's market where a well-connected purchase agent is essential to find a good property. So be careful if a purchase agent does not work on a 'no cure, no pay' basis. The risk is on you if your agent does not perform, has no good network to find suitable properties or thinks it is more advantageous to stop working after collecting the advance. Laura could not convince us regarding reliability and professionalism.

In one word: TOP! We have sold our house for the 3rd time through Laura and everything was taken care of to the last detail. The sellers rank her number 1. Are you looking for a reliable, punctual, professional but also self-assured real estate agent who is there for you? Don't look any further and contact her and experience it yourself ;)

At first, I wasn't sure if I could buy a house in the competitive market. I hesitated to pay the full package that other brokers offer. My mortgage advisor referred me to Laura. After talking with Laura, she suggested that I take the individual package that she offered. I bought Laura’s advisory services. Laura is helping me prepare for the price I need to offer, informs me about things in the house that I need to check further, and so on. With her help, I learned how the system works and it ultimately helped me win the bid. Laura also assisted with reviewing the contract, arranging the appraisal, contacting the building inspector, and recommending the notary. I can wholeheartedly recommend her services.
