We have known Barry van der Heijden for a long time as a real estate agent. In the past, he has acted as our purchase agent and sales agent to our full satisfaction. For us, the reason to ask Barry in the spring of 2025 to act as a real estate agent at Remax to sell our house. Already in our first conversation, he met our expectations as an agent. With a lot of knowledge of the market, our neighborhood Bangert and Oosterpolder and listening to our wishes, he knew exactly what we as the selling party were looking for. When we started the phase of taking photos, he came by in advance to advise us on small things in the house to make the house sale-ready and attractive. When taking the photos, he was also present to give any guidance. Later there was also a video, again showing a lot of attention to detail. In September our house came onto the market and there too, our expectations were met again immediately. Viewers and offers followed very quickly. That was quite exciting, but we were well guided and advised by Barry in considering the offers in combination with the right conditions for us. It was nice that we could rely on Barry's expertise to ultimately accept the best offer (price and conditions) after 8 days, sign the preliminary sales agreement and finally this week, after confirmation of financing by the buyers, officially sell the house. Barry is very professional, fluent and pleasant in communication and interaction, clear and precise and clearly fighting for us as the selling party. I would like to compliment the real estate agents at RE/MAX along this route, particularly Tim van der Kruit and Marco Jonk, for their expert information regarding a free valuation on appraisal day (which ultimately took place last Thursday). Marco did this for me last year, and I followed up with Tim this year. I wanted to know how the market developed specifically for our house over the past year. In early September 2021, I viewed Inlaat 8 in Grootebroek with my daughter. The house was completely gutted but for €180,000 it was still a challenge. We bid €30,000 over the asking price, but we didn't get it at that price, things happen. Jolanda Keijzer was very firm about this: the preference went to someone who would make a beautiful home out of it, not someone looking for profit... Now 9 months later, the house is back on the market, beautifully renovated and now for sale for... €340,000!!!
