I had the pleasure of meeting Mascha during a viewing. On behalf of her clients, she warmly welcomed my mother and me in a pleasant atmosphere. The viewing itself was very nice and professional. This is especially noteworthy given that house viewings can be quite stressful at times. Mascha clearly possesses knowledge and thought along with our wishes and possibilities. Unfortunately, my father could not attend; to this, Mascha mentioned that we could plan a second viewing. I found this extremely pleasant in addition to the nice rapport. During my search, I have yet to encounter an agent who is as considerate and people-oriented as she is. It felt very pleasant having this personal contact, thank you for this.

Our experience with Mascha Zonder has been particularly bad. She provided us with no information whatsoever about the bidding process nor offered any options, although the rules of conduct of VastgoedPro (a qualitatively inferior variant of the NVM) prescribe this. She even left our emails with questions regarding this unanswered. Because a bid had already been made before the house was listed on Funda, she tried to motivate us to accept that first bid without listing the house on Funda. Later we received a much higher offer! When we asked if there were any more interested parties, both Mascha and her colleague denied this, while indeed a further viewing had been requested. Both admitted this afterwards without explanation or apology. VastgoedPro took no action when we reported this. Mascha is therefore a member of VastgoedPro without adhering to their rules. When we withdrew the assignment, Mascha refused to remove the property from Funda (we had to involve Funda for this!) and still has not returned our keys and building plans, preventing us from fulfilling the start-up costs. Mascha Zonder exploits the inexperience of sellers. Under the guise of 'personal' (and even 'sincere') and by having potential buyers write their motivations along with their bids, she tries to expedite the sale so that she can benefit as quickly as possible. A VastgoedPro real estate agent is therefore not a guarantee of quality. Mascha Zonder is certainly not recommended. (This is only a short listing of our negative experiences with her.)

Everything was or is perfectly arranged! Contacts went entirely as expected. All papers and other matters were always perfectly on time. Viewings went smoothly.

“The purpose of 'Google Customer Reviews' is to provide users with useful information about companies, products and services and to support consumers in making informed decisions based on the experiences of others.” We feel compelled to respond to the message that Mascha Zonder of Bijzonder Makelaars recently posted about us on Google, in which she accuses us of not engaging in dialogue. Before we terminated our collaboration with her, we submitted several complaints to her that were never addressed. Ultimately, we shared our experiences in a number of Google reviews; each time this was followed by a response, but never substantive and never directly from herself. First, there was a reaction from her partner, who put pressure on us to remove the review. (this partner also posted a positive review themselves) Subsequently, we received a letter from van Veen lawyers in Ede (see our review of that office) on behalf of Ms. Zonder with various accusations and a summons not to post reviews. Our extensive, well-supported response to this was dismissed with: 'I disagree with everything, but I have no desire to address it.' When we proposed opening an escrow account with the notary of her choice, where she had placed our belongings, there was no reaction whatsoever – neither from her nor from the notary (see also our review there). Also, VastgoedPro, the industry organization to which she is affiliated, did not respond to our request for explanation about her trademark use. To our surprise, we were recently called by the police in Almelo regarding a possible report related to our reviews. This while we have shared a complete file with her lawyer, which has never been refuted. It appears that the police were approached without sharing this information with them. Finally, Ms. Zonder dismisses our damages as 'only' €13.454,- and attributes this to inflation, price increases and an 'overheated housing market'. She forgets that, against her advice, we had to insist on selling via Funda instead of immediately accepting the first offer. Had we followed her advice, the damage would have been approximately €40.000,-. We write this review not out of personal spite, but to give others an objective picture of how this real estate agent functions. We believe it is important to warn against the unprofessional conduct of Mascha Zonder: she does not communicate professionally or at all, avoids responsibility and tries to shift her own shortcomings onto her clients. Moreover, she would have caused us significant financial damage of approximately €40.000,- had we followed her advice. Absolutely not recommended. From the previous review: 'BijZonder makelaars has failed to demonstrate the ability to guide the sale of our family home on Tijhofslaan in a businesslike manner. Despite the considerable interest in the property, she repeatedly tried to rip us off. Instead of communicating properly, she does not shy away from spreading false information and putting pressure on us. We still do not have our house key and building plans back, so we cannot pay the start-up costs invoice. Her lawyer is now also threatening extrajudicial collection costs and interest. Because we hear nothing more from her or her lawyer, we are now considering filing a complaint with the Disciplinary Committee of Real Estate Professionals to protect others from this kind of abuse.'

Mascha knows what she's talking about and doesn't beat around the bush. She is honest, transparent, and adequate in her communication. When selling the house of the family, I indicated that I do not want motivations. To my surprise, every bid was supplemented with an extensive motivation. Later I found out that Masha - contrary to our wish - asked potential buyers to provide their bid with a motivation. I am very disappointed that Masha pushed through her own way of working and ignored our wish. She does not act in the interest of the client. Not every bidder wants to provide a bid with a motivation, which probably resulted in fewer bids being made. Moreover, I find it undesirable to be confronted with personal stories from strangers. Masha also communicates hardly about the bidding procedure and offers no options. I do not recommend her to anyone.
