Een van de ergste ervaringen die ik ooit als expat heb gehad, en ik heb zelfs in achterbuurten met drugsdealers gewoond. Ze rekenden me dubbel huur aan en ondanks dat ik ze een jaar lang heb gemaild, hebben ze NIETS gedaan om dit te onderzoeken. Ik heb het laten zitten, omdat het veel te duur zou zijn om zo'n groot bedrijf voor de rechter te slepen. Uiteindelijk ben ik verhuisd, maar ze hebben mijn borg niet terugbetaald, ondanks dat ze beloofden dit binnen 30 dagen na de eindinspectie te doen. Ze stelen gewoon geld van kwetsbare expats en ik heb meerdere gevallen van dit soort gedrag gehoord. Ze helpen ook niet met reparaties of problemen. Mijn wifi dekte niet mijn hele studio-appartement en ze stuurden iemand die alleen maar zei dat ik er niets aan kon doen. De appartementen zijn zo gebouwd dat geluid gemakkelijk door de muren heen dringt. Op een keer, tijdens een kleine bijeenkomst met slechts twee andere mensen, stuurden ze om 22.00 uur op een vrijdag een bewaker naar mijn deur die me fysiek bedreigde omdat ik lawaai maakte. Blijf ten koste van alles uit de buurt van deze plek, dakloos zijn is beter.

Woon hier al meer dan drie jaar: Pluspunten: perfecte locatie en gemakkelijke toegang tot allerlei winkels/supermarkten/restaurants; degelijke binnenvoorzieningen. Minpunten: niet erg stil; wasmachine werkt af en toe niet; constant valse brandalarmen; ramen worden bijna niet buiten schoongemaakt. Do not rent via Top Select Visit or Top Select Housing! I live in Amsterdam and my mother (who lives in the US) and I had a terrible experience with this company. My mother had signed a short-term lease agreement starting in September 2020. However, due to the travel ban between the US and Europe related to COVID-19, she could not travel. In July 2020, she contacted the company to inquire about their cancellation policy and whether she would get her deposit (2500 euros) back if the travel ban was not lifted. It took almost a month for the company to respond that she would not get her deposit back because she had cancelled less than 60 days in advance, but that she could use the deposit for another rental property in the future. The possibility of using the deposit for another apartment in 2021 is also mentioned in the email. (Although I knew that this was happening, I did not know the name of the company and also knew nothing about the apartment she had rented.) Now that travel between the US and Europe is again allowed, my mother has planned a new trip. I looked for an apartment for her and found one that happened to be managed by this company. When they sent us the lease contract draft, I forwarded it to my mother for review. At that moment she realized not only was the company the same, but also the same apartment. I contacted the company and told them about this development. I said that we wanted to use the deposit for this new lease agreement. THEY SAID THAT THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE. The reasons they gave us for not allowing us to use the deposit were: 1) They believed that we had manipulated the situation to be able to rent the same apartment again. (We had not done that.) 2) When it became clear that the company would not return the deposit in 2020, despite the travel ban which my mother had no control over, my mother sent a message stating that she did not want to go forward with them anymore. The company believes this invalidates their offer to use the deposit for another rental property. (That is not true. I have checked with a lawyer.) 3) The company says they did not need to honor the deposit because my mother had paid the first deposit in 2020 and because I arranged the new lease agreement. (Although they knew that I was arranging the rental for my mother, that she would be paying the rent and her name and details were also on the lease contract draft.) Furthermore, the company threatened legal action if I posted a negative review on social media. My mother and I have decided not to pursue this further and we will never again do business with this company or recommend it to anyone. The way this situation was handled, the fact that the company accused us of manipulating the situation to get our deposit back, the rudeness of the man I spoke with, and their refusal to work with us to find a solution to actually use the deposit, are more than enough reasons for me to conclude that this company is unprofessional and dishonest.
