At another real estate agent, I requested an appraisal report for a house that I had in my sights. The agent made a very high estimate of the price after having taken only a brief look at the house. I didn't trust it and asked for a second opinion from Veni Vendi, who I had been recommended by a friend. She turned out to be extremely competent. After inspecting the property, she pointed out major defects that I certainly would have missed otherwise (and which had also not appeared in the previous appraisal or the structural report). A few months later, I was looking for a house again and asked her for advice once more. She was easy to reach and quick to respond when needed, and provided me with reliable advice throughout the entire process, enabling me to ultimately purchase a wonderful house (even underbidding!). Until the last moment, she remained critical. She pointed out potential risks and advised me on how to effectively navigate around them.
