Terrible real estate agency! They employ agents who, in my opinion, don't understand a thing about their profession. Highly not recommended, never offer your house or property for sale/rent through Portegies. It's literally a waste of your time and effort. You should better train your agents and/or offer internal courses. That way, anyone can start a real estate agency with zero knowledge of the trade!

We rented a small house at Arendsweg 93 in Beverwijk through Portegies. Afterwards, it turned out that the rental was not conducted properly, which meant we could only move out 4 months after the death of our daughter. Portegies should have checked everything thoroughly beforehand before this house was rented to us because it wasn't in order with regards to paperwork. We were then able to get a house through them that was approximately €700 more expensive. This never went ahead because someone else offered a higher bid. Forced by necessity, we moved to Germany to my parents because we couldn’t find anything quickly here. Without any pardon compensation or other help, we had to figure it out ourselves. So always be careful with them and have the paperwork checked by a specialist.

From the first contact, we had a positive feeling about the real estate agent. Because he was so enthusiastic about the house for sale, we were completely confident that he could convey this enthusiasm to potential buyers. Rare practices at Portegies. Offer submitted on an apartment, the entire bidding process was supposed to take a week. 2 days later on Saturday at 12:00 I suddenly received a call saying I had one more hour to submit a (higher) bid while this process was still supposed to last several days in the official way via Move.nl. But given the other reviews here, I'm not surprised.
I've contacted them a few times, but they aren't responding with the requested information, unfortunately they are quite unreliable.
I made a home visit appointment and they sent me an email stating that the house had been sold without having seen it. They are literally committing fraud.

Peter-Paul has a large network in the region and is very experienced/expert. For example, he takes the time for every potential buyer during a viewing, allowing buyers to feel comfortable and sufficiently informed. Scammers! My girlfriend and I were supposed to receive 3 emails back with information and photos about a property in Beverwijk (we indicated that we were interested in a property that was not yet online). We were promised several times that we would receive these photos via email the next day. Two days later, we called Portegies to obtain information about the email we should have received, at which point we were told that the apartment had already been rented out to other people without informing us. Afterwards, we were supposed to be helped with a new property, but they did not follow up on this either. After multiple phone calls, we never received an email or phone call back. We have never dealt with such an unprofessional company.

Have an appraisal report carried out by Mr. S. Torenvlied. Unfortunately, the appraisal report was incomplete and not correctly filled in. When I raised this with Mr. Torenvlied, he was anything but professional. I would advise everyone not to do business with Mr. Torenvlied.

Unable to reach by phone or with poor reception. 3 times interest shown, 1 appointment made which was cancelled by the realtor, I was supposed to receive a call back, still waiting.
Terrible. They said they would call me back several times, which didn't happen. When I ask about a processing time, the answer is always 'I can’t tell you' or 'sometime', and when those days have passed, the answer is again 'sometime'. Never do business with this office.
