My husband and I had a disappointing experience with Laura and I think it is important to write this review, because we were misled by the positive reviews. Laura asks for part of her fee as an advance / “startup costs” (at that time 750 euros). This should have been a warning sign, because the common practice of purchasing brokers in the Dutch real estate market is a success fee (“no cure, no pay”), which means that the client/buyer usually does not pay anything in advance. Payment is generally only due when a suitable property is found and actually purchased by the client. We were looking for a home without noise pollution and in a chic neighborhood of Maastricht and surrounding areas. However, Laura mainly sent homes that did not meet the criteria at all, for example a house next to an airfield of Maastricht Airport! Another was very close to a busy highway, and instead of advising against it, she had us travel 3 hours one way for a viewing. She also proposed houses in less attractive neighborhoods in Maastricht such as Mariaberg and also in the surrounding Parkstad area. We got the impression that her contacts with good sales agents were very limited, so she tried to get us to buy one of the leftovers on the market, hoping that unsuspecting expats would not notice the problems. Fortunately, and based on a lot of our own research for each proposed property, we didn't make that mistake. It ultimately escalated when we decided to extend our search to another region in Limburg that did not fall under our written agreement with Laura and where she had no contacts. We informed her of our intention and she initially agreed to it in writing. A week later, however, she states that she doesn't like it after all due to the risk of working “in vain”. So she terminates our contract 4-5 weeks after the start of the assignment, while retaining the advance payment of €750,-. This happened after she had mainly sent us properties that did not meet the agreed criteria and therefore could not show us even one potentially suitable property. ! We felt completely abandoned in the middle of our house hunt abroad and in a seller's market where a well-connected purchasing broker is essential to get a good home. So be careful if a purchasing broker does not work on a ‘no-cure-no-pay’ basis. The risk lies with your court if your broker does not perform, has no good network to access suitable properties or thinks it would be more profitable to stop working after you have paid the advance payment. Laura did not convince us in terms of reliability and professionalism.

In one word: TOP! We have sold our house for the 3rd time through Laura and everything was taken care of to the last detail. The sellers rank her number 1. Are you looking for a reliable, punctual, professional but also self-assured real estate agent who is there for you? Don't look any further and contact her and experience it yourself ;)

At first, I wasn't sure if I would be able to buy a house on the competitive market. I hesitated to pay the full package that other brokers offer. I was referred to Laura by my mortgage advisor. After consultation with Laura, she suggested that I take the separate package she offered. I purchased Laura’s advisory services. Laura is helping me with preparing the reach that I need to bid, informing me about the things in the house that I need to check further, etc. With her help, I learned how the system works and it helped me ultimately win the bidding.
