Both in the sale of our house and garage, we were expertly, carefully and efficiently guided by real estate agent Hopman. Agreements were always kept and they could give us a good estimate beforehand of how the process would proceed so that we always knew what was expected of us.

My experience with Hopman was disappointing. Despite the promise of personal guidance, the process felt impersonal. The communication often left much to be desired, little consideration was given to our situation and wishes. And we had to correct several things multiple times. Instead of relieving stress, it mainly created extra stress - especially in a period that was already intense enough.

The lack of clarity about the transfer date with the first offer, stating that the transfer can happen soon, has in my opinion caused too much time to pass between the first offer and the transfer. 29 Sept. 2023 to 15 Jan. 2024. The buyers stated as a reason that they could not arrange builders earlier, which I consider an improper reason; the property had been vacant since 22 July.
