In week 18, I went to the Netherlands with one goal – the acquisition of 3 to 5 real estate investments for the diversification of our capital throughout Europe. On Tuesday, I had a pleasant conversation with 2 ARE brokers. We generally had a nice conversation; they even asked me if I was sure I wanted to view this type of property, as it requires a complete renovation – and that was exactly the kind of investment object I was looking for! I was then in Groningen. The next two days - Wednesday and Thursday - I had planned for viewing homes in The Hague, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam. During the conversation, we agreed to meet each other on Wednesday at 09:15 am in Nieuwe Molstraat. Subsequently, we agreed that I would send all my data via the contact form (make an appointment) of funda.nl to them. Confirmation from funda that the request was sent: April 30, 2024 (Tuesday), 13:01. After a 3-hour drive, I arrived at Nieuwe Molstraat 37 on Wednesday at 08:45 am. I waited patiently until about 9:30 am and decided to call them. Their response was that they didn't have any viewings scheduled for this time and date, and perhaps I simply forgot to send them my data - therefore, they didn’t show up. The next day, they called me and told me that I only sent them the message after the viewings and immediately blamed me for being unable to send a message. In other words, they think I am mentally disabled and incapable of using some basic messages. It's quite unfortunate because I had high expectations of this property. It’s even more regrettable that I wasted so much valuable time. I believe they have some kind of call recordings for quality purposes, perhaps worth reviewing. Will it matter to them if they lost a potential buyer for your property? Probably not. Will they solve their problems in the future? Maybe. Will they indirectly call you an arr-tard? Absolutely. Screenshots from funda confirmation and calls with 2ARE are attached. The times are in Vilnius, LTU time zone, if you're wondering why the times don’t add up by 1 hour. In the six years I have been dealing with real estate, I have never encountered a broker who didn't show up for an appointment without notifying me beforehand or in case of an emergency. That is my opinion about 2 ARE Makelaars. Your mileage may vary. P.
