In our search, we have seen many pearls of homes pass by from real estate agent De Regentes, large and varied & a continuous supply. Ultimately, we found a house on funda and chose to engage De Regentes as a buyer's broker. A little bit later; In the meantime, we have engaged De Regentes several times, still quickly responsive, and reads everything in detail to protect you from very important mistakes!

In January 2023 we bought a house. Patricia (the agency real estate agent) was our purchasing broker. A number of days before the transfer took place, a leak was detected in the property. Patricia initially argued that we would receive financial compensation for this, but the selling party did not agree. Ultimately, we agreed that the selling party would repair the damage from the VVE (homeowners association), and on Patricia's advice, we let it go, as it seemed to be an amount of €650 and the selling party claimed there was a guarantee on the repairs. Unfortunately, it turned out that the repair work was not carried out correctly and that there was also no guarantee on it. A total of approximately €2000 ultimately went from the VVE to fix it, and we were responsible for arranging everything. This was not the agreement. Both the notary and legal assistance referred us to Patricia to assist with this. Patricia only sent an email to the selling party's broker when we raised the problem with her, who stood their ground and asked if we could proceed like this. We indicated that this was not the case. Unfortunately, we never heard from Patricia again. In retrospect, we regret choosing the agency as our purchasing broker. We are now involved in legal proceedings, which unfortunately costs a lot of time and money. All of this could have been prevented if agreements regarding the repair of damage to the property we bought had been clearly set out in writing and Patricia acted fully in our interest. It now feels more like “the money is in/the transfer is approaching, so you can figure it out.”
