Rent a Stone

They sold me an apartment that still leaks. They claimed the leak had been repaired at the time, but that turned out not to be true! I have now spoken with the lawyer and asked for help. Because they should have told me the truth that the leakage problem was not resolved, I would not have bought this apartment. But now the VVE wants me to pay 1800 euro (more than 600 euro per person), and I really don't think I should pay these costs. So be careful with this real estate agent, the information they provide can be misleading. Furthermore, I advise you to take more photos during viewings or after you have bought the house, just to support yourself a little.

Terrible

One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. A complete scam, do not rent from them unless you want to wait months without a response while your washing machine leaks into the apartment below you. We also had to sit for weeks without a working toilet and after many emails were sent to this company, we had to involve a lawyer to help us. I would absolutely NOT recommend renting from them, these are just two examples of many terrible experiences. If I could give 0/5, I would.

As everyone knows, it is very difficult to get housing these days. But thanks to “Rent a stone,” a large stress factor fell from my shoulders. From the moment of contacting them, everything went quickly, from stating my expectations to viewings of different homes. And before I knew it, there was the house that felt right!! Once again, great compliments to “Rent a stone” and specifically to Evelien because she guided me well from the beginning. Thank you for this! 🙏

The service from Rent a Stone was absolutely excellent. All documents were signed quickly and the apartment was delivered in very good condition. Some minor defects were also resolved very quickly, and the realtor was very friendly.

One star is too much. They rent out houses for Cornerstone, which has a rating too low to rent anything, so they set up this agency (first check the ratings of Cornerstone). They will do their utmost to hide this. Moreover, they will have you sign a preliminary contract (which is likely illegal, but they have a legal team and you don't) and then they will change the deal and force you to sign it by literally threatening you with that contract. This cost me a lot of money, but it probably would have cost me even more if I had gone ahead. They are also very nice, until you sign and then they are incredibly rude and threatening. I've never been spoken to like that by anyone. In short: do NOT deal with them unless you are really desperate.

We had a terrible experience. They made us sign a general and good faith contract, but we discovered that the final rental agreement (which we received hours later) contained data contradicting what they had previously told us. They rent for CornerStone, a company with frankly bad reviews. DO NOT sign with this company, their only goal is to collect money and provide poor service.

Before you rent a property through rent a stone, first read the reviews of cornerstone vastgoed. Rent a stone is part of cornerstone; they use this name to rent out properties. Only when you receive the rental agreement does it state that it is from cornerstone. Everything seems perfect and looks very nice until you have paid and received the property, then it's just misery. Poorly accessible, repairs are not carried out, after months of false promises that someone will come for the repair, they suddenly say this is minor maintenance and you must repair it yourself (half the living room is underwater). In short: be careful before you sign!!!!

For us, it was all very short and arranged super fast. We were able to view the property on Wednesday and already had an answer on Friday! The property is ours! Rent a stone also rents homes from Cornerstone Vastgoed, this is a terrible company. Therefore, think twice before renting a house from this party. They not only ask for an absurdly high deposit, but also withhold money from the deposit that was refunded after waiting 3 months. We heard nothing about the final inspection report and were afraid we would never get the deposit back. In addition, there was no response to emails and phone calls.
