I had a fantastic experience with KK Real Estate. They were super helpful, efficient and friendly throughout the entire process. Finding a home can be very stressful in the Netherlands, but they made it so much easier. You notice that they genuinely care about you and understand how difficult the housing market is. I greatly appreciated their support and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a home!

We were assisted throughout the entire rental process by Lyte, Klass and Bianca, and I am genuinely convinced that they are competent, experienced and helpful. They supported us from our very first visit to the apartment until the completion of the contract with the owner. Therefore, I wanted to write this review for everyone who needs help finding an apartment in Amsterdam. The process can be a challenge, especially for expats who do not speak Dutch, but KK Amsterdam is the right choice to make the entire moving process much easier. Thanks again, all!

Great experience! Although finding a rental property in Amsterdam can be quite a challenge, KK Amsterdam was a great find and the entire process went very smoothly. The agents are very friendly and you can really tell that their customer service mentality is far from the norm. Our experiences with other agencies were terrible. We mostly only received automated email responses and if we were lucky enough to get a viewing, they would show up without any interest and just wanted to be done with it (and don't care, since the market is so dynamic (they know someone will rent the property anyway). With KK Amsterdam, from the first email we received from them, we could see that they wanted to put a little more 'humanity' into their interaction with us. I would absolutely recommend them!!

The rental process with KKAmsterdam went very smoothly. Once I was accepted for the apartment, the lease agreement and other paperwork were handled quickly. Check-in with Bianca was easy; we made an inspection report and inventory list. All my questions were answered promptly by the team. Finding a rental apartment in Amsterdam can be stressful, but this was a piece of cake. Would recommend it.

Overall, the rental experience went very quickly and smoothly. From the moment I signed up for check-in, they were very responsive and helpful with all my questions and negotiations. I would like to especially highlight the exceptional work of Lyte; she handled most of the paperwork and inquiries extremely well and efficiently. The only 'problem' that wasn't a big problem is that I found the check-in a little rushed and not prepared for these specific cases: 1- We couldn't find the storage space of the apartment, and it took a few days to figure out where it was actually located, but this wasn't a big deal. 2- The apartment had holes in the living room wall that hadn't been filled before my new rental by the previous tenant, nor by the real estate agency/owner. The positive thing was that this was properly noted in the damage reports during check-in. The rest of the check-in and subsequent support were handled well; I discovered some damage after check-in, and they promptly and professionally acknowledged it. I still can't speak about the concerns regarding checkout and cleaning that other reviewers shared since I just checked in. However, it is a very common practice to always have an actual professional cleaning done before a new rental agreement, even if the previous tenant cleaned very well. Therefore, I would like to suggest always expecting this and handling it promptly and communicating proactively with both the agency and the owner to prevent as many problems as possible.

Generally speaking, I don't like sharing negative reviews, but I felt it was necessary this time. I had an agreement with this agency and they have been completely unprofessional: the contract wasn't ready on time, answering our emails took extremely long... Ultimately, I managed to keep only my communication between myself and the owner, who was a very nice person :). Unfortunately, I still had to deal with it when moving out, even though we spent 2 days cleaning the house perfectly with my roommate, they still charged 10 hours of cleaning (literally no idea what they were doing), which ultimately cost us €150 + €50 for cleaning products (€50!! yes, you read that right). Greedy and unprofessional, that's what best describes this agency; they would do anything to scam you, so if you can avoid them, do! By the way, KK means poop in French, which I found quite accurate to describe them. (My post was removed because they changed their business location, but since they haven’t changed their practices, I want to make sure other people don't get scammed)

I rented through KKAmsterdam and the team works super efficiently. The entire process was completed within just 2 days. Check-in went smoothly and they were able to answer all my questions. In addition, they helped with setting up the utility contracts, which I appreciate.

After we had lived in multiple apartments in 4-5 different European countries, we had the worst experience with these guys. They were on the side of the owners and still charged us 350 EUR 'contract costs', which we later learned are not charged by anyone else in the Netherlands. When checking out, we had cleaned the house thoroughly for several days (top of kitchen shelves, large glass windows, built-in oven, etc.). The owner acknowledged that the house was clean. Bianca from this agency did her best to point out small spots here and there and wrote on the form 'a professional cleaning is required' which she claimed was signed by the owner. And then we received a bill of 356.95 for the cleaning. Interestingly enough, the new tenant was a friend of a friend, and within twenty days after the move-out, we had the opportunity to revisit the apartment, and the house was exactly in the condition we left it, without any signs of any extra cleaning. They have a cleaning agency and simply generated a random cleaning bill. They generated a total bill of EUR 900+ including 191 EUR for laundry, apparently from the bedding and towels that we hardly used because we had our own belongings, and another 125 EUR laundry charge for curtains. All this despite charging us 100 EUR monthly for furnishing for the 3.5 years that we stayed there. They treat expats like dummies without respect and look down on them. The agents were unfriendly and impersonal during check-in and check-out. The owner evicted us after a stay of 3.5 years and despite our pregnancy. It was such a stressful time to find a house, pack up, clean, and move. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this agency.
