HouseHunting Tilburg is a complete scam! I paid €35, and they NEVER responded to my emails. Their phone number is fake; nobody ever picks up. They just take people's money and disappear while preying on students and people desperately looking for housing. Absolutely disgraceful! Stay away!

Nothing but praise for Househunting and especially our contact person Rick. He was the selling real estate agent when purchasing our first home. From the very first contact, Rick spent plenty of time answering our questions about the process. Both during the day and in the evening he was available by phone. Do you want to buy or sell your property? Then Househunting is recommended. The service provided and the contact left a pleasant feeling with us as we look back on the purchase! Even now, after the purchase, we can still reach out with questions.

I am not a fair establishment that does not treat its tenants well. After informing you about the extension of your contract, they terminate it at the last moment, even though you try to get an answer from them earlier. They return only a small portion of your deposit after the date mentioned in the contract and do not give you a proper explanation for the deductions. Do not also expect the apartment to be clean when you move in. There are certainly worse agencies, but this is not how you should treat your tenants.

We experienced significant problems receiving our deposit, which took a longer period of more than 2 months after leaving the rental property. Unfortunately, the staff could not quickly resolve the issue, requiring direct contact with the owner for a solution. Due to this experience, we were dissatisfied with the service level and professionalism that was offered. If I were to give one piece of advice, it would be to consider alternative options.

The behavior of this real estate agency is regrettable. Please be very careful. They are very unreliable, they constantly break their word. I would absolutely not trust them with my son's accommodation, as they have no ethics or morals whatsoever. Due to the limited possibilities for finding living space for my son, we paid a deposit and 2 months' rent before we received the outcome of his admission to Tilburg University in late July last year. Ultimately, he did not go to the mentioned university and had to go to another country. Therefore, from mid-August 2022, we asked the real estate agency with which we had entered into a contract, “HUISADVISEUR”, to at least return the deposit and a few months' rent. We initially tried this by phone and since November 2022 via email. After much insistence through endless emails and also contacting the university, they informed us on January 25, 2023, that they would refund one month’s deposit and asked us for details of our bank account to be able to make the transfer a week later (so in early February 2023). Of course, we immediately sent them the data, but as of today, August 8, 2023, they have not even returned it to us. But they are also so unrepresentative that they have not responded to the emails we have sent them weekly. It is useless to call because they always answer that they will speak with the manager. They evoke such a feeling of helplessness that I don't even want to think about the problem they may have caused for the students who are there and that major incidents could occur. Although we know that the university is not responsible for these events, I am genuinely of the opinion that this company should not even be listed among the real estate agencies presented on their page, as it damages the image and prestige of that student house.

Normally I am not someone who writes reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experiences with this landlord and hopefully prevent others from undergoing a similar situation. I have been living in my current apartment for some time now, and I and many other tenants of the building have repeatedly inquired with our landlord about the duration of the contracts, especially given the severe housing crisis in the Netherlands. Despite these repeated questions, the landlord consistently remained ambiguous, leading everyone to believe that we would be able to extend our contracts without unforeseen disruptions. However, it came as an unpleasant shock when I received notice less than 6 weeks before the end date of my contract that I would have to leave my apartment. Due to this last-minute announcement, I have been searching for alternative housing amidst a housing shortage. The lack of transparency and clear deception are not only unfair but downright stressful. Not only was the communication poor, but the blatant disregard for the tenant's situation reflects a profound lack of empathy and professionalism from the agency. The ethics of a landlord should include honesty, transparency, and dedication, all of which are seriously lacking in my dealings with this specific landlord. I would therefore like to urge potential tenants to be cautious before renting from them. It is unfortunate that a situation that began with so much promise has ended in so much disappointment and unnecessary stress. Therefore, I cannot give more than one star, which reflects my bitter experience with this landlord.

I am writing this review with a heavy heart and disappointment, because my experience with my landlord in Tilburg has been downright disturbing. The underlying problem? Their total disregard for the tenants and a clear attempt to cut costs at the expense of my comfort and well-being. When I first moved into this apartment, I was aware of the ongoing housing crisis in Tilburg. However, I had hoped for some degree of empathy and human decency from my landlord. I was sorely mistaken. Despite paying a significant € 960 per month, my landlord showed little to no interest in ensuring me a satisfactory living experience. Their biggest failure came when my contract ended. An attentive landlord would have warned me months in advance given the ongoing crisis, but the landlord told me it would take six weeks, forcing me to search for a new home in an already challenging situation. This disregard for my situation was heartless and unacceptable. That's not where the apathy stopped. I suffer from chronic back pain, requiring a comfortable, supportive bed. The problem lay with the bed itself; it was a manufacturing defect, and even then they didn’t care and wanted to give me a bed that was smaller than what I paid for. My requests for a better bed were consistently ignored and dismissed, given the considerable amount of rent I paid. All they needed to do was invest in a double bed frame, which would cost minimal considering their income, to guarantee the comfort of their tenant. Instead, they chose to circumvent this small expense, further increasing my physical discomfort. In summary, this landlord is a prime example of the kind of negligence and lack of empathy that can turn what should be a refuge into a source of constant stress. Their actions – or rather: their neglect – demonstrated a clear disregard for the health and well-being of their tenants, as well as a lack of responsibility and professionalism. I strongly advise potential tenants to think long and hard before renting from them. This is not the kind of landlord-tenant relationship you want to be in.

It's that I have to fill in a star because they aren't even worth one star. Poor communication with the landlord, they don't keep their promises and are very difficult to reach. Waiting 7 weeks for your deposit while it should be handled within 4 weeks is not fair. Delivering half an apartment so the tenant has to make everything themselves and then not responding to any costs to fix this is very customer unfriendly! I would think twice before renting something from them.

Well, we are a couple who wanted to rent one apartment to lead a stable life there, and that's exactly what this company did. Especially thanks to Stefan, the person who showed us around. He even helped me on the weekend and everything went smoothly. So far I have no complaints about this company. Nevertheless, I will post updates if something is wrong with our experience. But for now, Stefan is a truly good professional.

Due to an unfortunate situation in my student house, a new landlord engaged RNC Wonen to rent out the property. To make as much money as possible from the vacant rooms, we were informed that migrant workers would be moving in. After always choosing roommates ourselves for years, this came as an unpleasant surprise. There was no room for consultation, because 'this is what the owner wants.' In addition, communication from RNC Wonen was deficient. We were hardly informed about the status of affairs and only told that the migrant workers would arrive at the beginning of November. Afterwards, it turned out to be mainly a way to get us out of the house faster – which they succeeded in doing – since the migrant workers ultimately did not arrive at the beginning of November. The migrant workers would not come until after our departure, because they wanted to renovate the house first. RNC Wonen showed serious negligence during this process and had absolutely no understanding for our situation.

Very positive experience with rnc living. I lived here for three years during my student years in the city center of Tilburg. For a good price, I had a spacious studio where everything was well maintained. You hardly see that anymore in the current housing market. They really give students a chance here, while other landlords almost don't give students a chance due to their extremely strict requirements, rnc living does. Also, the landlord would come by every so often to check if everything was alright. This really gives an impression of safety and trust.

If there was a -1 star option…. The lock on my door did lock, but wouldn't open from the inside anymore. I had to climb out through the window to get outside and open the door from the outside, otherwise it wouldn't have worked. After a year of calling and sending millions of emails, they finally resolved it. I moved here after renovations, but they left the sand behind for us to clean up ourselves. I still have the WhatsApp message from the worker telling me that I had to put it in a bag myself. After 2 months, I still haven't received my deposit back or an answer about it. Be careful. At RNC only the “owners” are important :)

I expressed interest, paid an entry fee, but the property turned out to have already been rented. After 3 months, according to them, the property is still for rent. I had a contact respond. He received the answer: first register and then you will receive information about the property. Conclusion... fraud. Nothing more.. nothing less. I wanted to file a report, unfortunately the police said it was a civil matter. Partly because the amount involved is small. MANY SMALL ONES.. MAKE A BIG ONE

They mislead people so they register for homes in their system that are listed on the website but no longer being offered. I inquired about the garage, which they said was for rent. I was asked to send an offer via the website, for which I had to create an account and pay a yearly subscription. After sending the application several times, nobody even bothered to call me back. After contacting them by phone, I was told that the offer had to be submitted via the website. For me, they are simply scammers - I do not recommend it.

After 4 years (almost 5) of living in a studio offered by RNC, with a room contract, many things happened, and the reaction from RNC was ALWAYS THE MINIMUM to avoid legal responsibilities in case the problems persisted. For example, it took them more than a year and a half to replace the shower in the house, which was defective and in very poor condition, and they only did so under pressure from the rental committee, whose contact I recommend to keep things in good hands. A month after I moved to another private rental property, a certain Stefan from RNC sends me a WhatsApp message saying that he has a potential tenant for my studio, and who wants to come and view it with him, whereupon I reply that I work evenings and am busy all week, I offer him next Monday, he tells me that he will talk to me about it, and nothing more: when I arrive home from work the same evening, I see that the doors in my studio are locked, something which I absolutely never do, and the next morning my roommate tells me that two people were in my room yesterday afternoon while I was away. On the other hand, they also ask for money under the table from people who urgently want to move out. Scammers, fraudulent, always on the dark side of the legal. If you have options and value your privacy, DO NOT RENT WITH RNC.

Paid an amount of € 35 to view a property or to contact them. Conclusion: property disappeared and no longer available after 3 days. Called and email sent. They are still doing nothing. I will visit them personally with the authorities soon...
