The housing situation in Tilburg is catastrophic, but never so bad that you have to sign a contract with this agency. A few remarkable events during my stay: -We are in October. I moved in July and my deposit has still not been returned to me (this is in violation of the law, my deposit must be repaid within one month after my move and if extra costs are discovered that were made during my stay, these can be requested later, but the deposit cannot be withheld for longer than one month). The agency also no longer responds to me. -I had a black mold spot on my ceiling for five months as a result of a leak before the agency did anything about it. It took weeks and weeks for someone to come to REPAIR the leak, and then it took another few months for someone to come clean up the mold. As a result, I had to start legal proceedings to obtain rent reduction. - Clueless employees who can never help you with an issue you are experiencing. They are extremely good at getting you to sign contracts, but immediately become completely useless thereafter. -The agency has cameras throughout the building, but can never use them to help tenants find their missing packages. -€ 1000 rent per month, 2 washing machines and 1 dryer for over 100 tenants, €5 for wash+dry. -Induction cooktops are absolutely terrible. Paying so much rent for having camping equipment in the studio is a joke. Read the other reviews and you will see that I am not the only one experiencing problems with De Huisadviseur. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
