Honest, reliable real estate agency; occasionally had to drop the ball due to our agent's busy schedule but neatly resolved. Secretaries at the office, very friendly, punctual with notifications about appointments. It was the 2nd time for us that this agency sold a property. Handled with full satisfaction.

We were planning to buy a nice little farm in Elim from an old doctor. Beautiful place, friendly people etc. However, this was already over 12 years ago. Schelhaas came with the papers for signing and quickly turned the pages for a scribble. Probably with the hope that I wouldn't read something. However, I saw on one of the documents something about soil investigation with a result that should be in the attachment. 'Oh sir, they are all standard documents.' If someone says something like that, you really have to be careful. That attachment was missing for convenience and I also signed with the caveat that there would be nothing strange in that attachment. That attachment was sent a day later and it did indeed contain something worrying. Namely, that soil investigation had revealed that heavy metals were present in the ground. The farm was adjacent to a district filled with construction waste that was reclaimed in the 60s. This attempt at fraud keeps popping up in my thoughts every time I see the name Schelhaas. If I had trusted blindly and had cleaned up that soil, I would suffer significant damages. Every time I see the name Schelhaas, I have to think about it again. Maybe the company has improved in the meantime but I NEVER do business with them.

Special form of communication!! A young lady who assesses your house and casually mentions that you're 'grabbing land', without having delved into how it really is. Then another comment about the neighboring company where, in her opinion, we would have a lot of trouble!? In short: not well prepared and unsuitable as a sales party.

We have noticed that the personal guidance is somewhat limited. After a warm and enthusiastic intake, much is put into a digital process with the internal staff. We would have appreciated more personal advice and empathy.

Pleasant company and skilled staff to work with. Clear agreements that are correctly kept.

He took the time and was well prepared. This also became clear from the collaboration that followed. With Mark Jan, the relationship is important; he was easily accessible and open to suggestions. He's a man with humor, to the point, and gave room for input. Mark Jan isn’t the standard real estate agent (thankfully) but just a really nice person. Thank you for the collaboration.
