Het was zo fijn geweest als we tevoren duidelijker tips hadden gekregen mbt de oplevering van onze verkochte woning. We hebben gehandeld naar beste weten, maar kennelijk was dat niet goed genoeg. Het heeft geleid tot een heel vervelende overdracht. Juridisch gezien hadden de kopers met hun plotselinge eisen geen poot om op te staan, maar op het moment zelf stonden we met de rug tegen de muur. Smedema wilde niets weten van onze kritiek. Dat de lijst van zaken vanuit het kantoor tot 3 keer (!) toe niet correct was, was uitermate slordig. Het is maar goed dat we na deze transactie zijn vertrokken uit de regio. Smedema vindt zichzelf geweldig.

We had a very negative experience with Smedema and we do not recommend them. At the beginning of the year, we bought a new-build house with one of their candidate brokers. This candidate broker gave us incorrect information several times. She told us that the house was ready for a heat pump (which was not the case). She made a mistake in the contract which almost cost us an extra 200 euro (luckily not afterwards). Finally, she misinformed us about a number of articles in the contract, resulting in us ultimately having unexpected costs of 1000 euro. Do not trust this broker.

Dear Sir, Madam, with this letter I would like to share my findings with You regarding the sale of the property mentioned below. Last Thursday, November 30th, we had the first viewing. At that time, there were no concrete buyers, or at least no bids. On Friday, December 1st, 1 day later, we called to request a second viewing and to state that we would like to make an offer afterwards. This took place last Monday (December 4th) at 9:00 am (earlier Smedema was unavailable). Also at that moment, there were no concrete negotiations regarding a possible sale. A bid had been made which was not followed up on. At that point, we placed a bid, subject to the condition of our own sale (March 1, 2018) and financing. This offer would be passed on to the seller. On the same day, 2 hours later, 'developments' occurred: the seller has received several bids and will choose from them with whom he will continue negotiations !!?? We find this a very strange turn of events in the context of what preceded it. We seriously wonder if another agenda is being pursued than is presented. Nowhere is there mention of a possibility of free bidding or an auction. Normally, one negotiates with the person who makes the first bid that is acceptable enough. When these parties cannot reach an agreement, the next in line comes along. For the sale of the property below, I have received no notification or seen any indication that this property was going to be sold in a different way. We therefore regret that customers are treated in this manner.

Mr. Smedema helped us in a very pleasant way. We received good advice and all appointments were perfectly kept. Should we need an appraiser or real estate agent again in the future, we will definitely think of Smedema. Professional!
