Ship brokerage Fikkers, Luc de Groot, a company and a man with knowledge and passion for ships. It quickly became clear to us that we were at the right address with Luc for the mediation in the sale of our ship the Fram. His knowledge is broad, both in the field of seagoing ships, historical ships and recreational yachts. For our ship, a seagoing vessel, quite a bit is involved regarding laws and regulations, the CVO (Maritime Qualification), a sea certificate and matters concerning the land registry. You are at the right address for this at Fikkers. It is not only good for the seller to have support from a company with this knowledge, but it also gives the buying party confidence and a good feeling. The buyer has also indicated this to us. For determining the asking price, the knowledge in the field of this market also proved important. We could fully agree with the proposal for the asking price. It turned out that this was very realistic. There was already a buyer for the ship very quickly and ultimately sold quickly. Luc also knew exactly how to assess which matters could be discussed directly between the seller and buyer and which he himself had to mediate. In the period between signing the preliminary purchase agreement and passing at the notary, there were also advices regarding choice of shipyard for drydocking, choice of new suitable berth for the new owner. Four years ago again, bought a beautiful charter klipper here. Very skilled and friendly assistance from Luc throughout the entire process. After the purchase, still received a wonderful book and had a beer with Luc and the seller.
Luc de Groot of real estate agency Fikkers sold my Hasselteraak Jakobina for me. Jakobina is a Hasselteraak of 25 x 5 meters where I completed the restoration from zero to a modern, light and sleekly fitted-out ship. The collaboration with Luc was excellent and Luc did what I expected of him. After a photo report and information from my side, an overviewable advertisement appeared on the various sales sites. What was pleasant was that all administrative actions at Fikkers were well arranged and I could focus on the shipyard maintenance. My thanks to Fikkers.

After thorough research, Fikkers was chosen, conveniently located but also due to the more favorable brokerage fee. It turned out to be a pleasant collaboration with Luc (de Groot), partly thanks to his enthusiasm. He created a beautiful and realistic photo reportage with a nice number of viewings as a result. He stood firmly between us and the interested parties and knew how to act decisively. With a clearly prepared agreement, the sale was closed. Everything handled neatly. In short, satisfied.
It was time to go ashore. And I had no idea how to arrange everything around the sale. Too many questions, formalities and incompetence on my part regarding selling my ship. After 15 years of happy occupancy, selling your ship is not a simple matter. Luc completely took care of everything for me: he was always available for my questions and protected me from a few awkward actions. Open, direct and honest in communication, and with understanding for the (for me) emotional side of the process, he excellently arranged the sale of my ship!

The sale went very smoothly, which is certainly thanks to the real estate agent. A specialized site that is easily found. Personally, I also find it very pleasant that even the less positive aspects are shown in the photos on the real estate agent's website. Clear for the buyer but also for the seller. The amount of the fee was decisive in choosing Fikkers, and I absolutely have no regrets about that.
Last year, due to personal circumstances, our houseboat was sold. I received very good assistance from ship brokers Fikkers, in the person of L. de Groot. He guided this difficult process for me expertly and professionally. He also took excellent care of the viewings. Together with notary Bosscher from Groningen, he excellently managed the entire sales process.
Very bad. Does not return calls, tells potential buyer untruths. Doesn't pass anything along to the seller. ...until now nothing more heard from.

Very nice and large selection of used ships 👍 …
They are very difficult to reach (even during a pandemic) and rarely call back. When selling our boat, we arranged almost everything ourselves with the buyer because Fikkers didn't do it. The buyer made an offer that wasn't passed on to us. We had to call about this ourselves. After we accepted the offer, the buyer heard nothing either and Fikkers was unreachable. Eventually, he contacted us. All of this while a high fee is requested for the 'work' they say they do. Due to all the uncertainty, it caused us a lot of stress and cost time. In addition, Mr. Fikkers is sometimes very unfriendly on the phone and does not tolerate comments or criticism. We certainly do not recommend this broker.

Very rude and no response to several phone calls and emails.... After a viewing, which I had to arrange myself with the shipowner because Fikkers was unreachable, I did not receive a response within a week, also due to the Corona-related issues. Mr. Fikkers called me and insulted me for not answering and then hung up. An absolute disgrace, especially because we were genuinely interested in the boat. We advise against buying from this broker.

Very poorly accessible, I've been to the door 3 times, while according to the opening hours it should be accessible. Then I'll call instead, but no one answers. I'll definitely look somewhere else that I can please with my money!

Dear company Fikkers, I have just tried to contact you again by telephone. You have your voicemail on. You are unreachable for me by phone. I find this particularly annoying and therefore I will send another email. Our barge is not an average barge and a sister ship of the Ludana. So difficult to sell. Please pay specific attention to this monument built in 1919 by Bernhard.
I bought a sailing boat through Fikkers real estate agency. Not European. I had many doubts about VAT, registration and so on. I received misleading information from broker Luc De Groot; before I signed the purchase agreement, I was told by him that the transfer of ownership would not be a problem as a non-European and that the boat had paid VAT. After a week of signing, I found out that registration was not possible and that there was no VAT proof available. Afterwards, I did not receive the attention and help needed. Perhaps he was too busy trying to get more money. It was a stressful process for the seller and for me as the buyer.
