Due to the incorrect actions of another broker and consequently a long vacancy period for our two properties, we chose to assign the task to VDH Makelaars. We certainly do not regret this! Jordy and his team arrange the rental well and quickly found a tenant for our property. They are also familiar with regulations and with a market-conforming rent. Communication could (in our opinion) be somewhat better, but is sufficient for the purpose. They can also take care of the management so you don't have to arrange much yourself (if you wish). I have been renting out my property for over 10 years now and have had several long-term tenants, all of whom have proven to be good. The settlements are always on time and mediation between tenant and landlord works well. I am not able to visit regularly to check and it turns out that is not necessary at all. I can recommend VDH to anyone as an intermediary for the rental of a property.

I advise against entering into a contract and making appointments with this real estate agency. They are unreliable, dishonest, and do not keep their word. They assured me that I could move into the apartment one day, but refused the next day and left us with a major problem. If anyone wants proof, feel free to email me.

This company is just a huge scam!! Don't trust them!! We rented an apartment from them, the apartment didn't have double glazing (which was supposed to be replaced) and there were also problems with water and keeping the apartment warm due to the installation. When we left, we left the apartment in perfect condition, which was confirmed by the realtor’s signature on the last day. After we signed the final contract and waited for the deposit, the realtor started giving us some pitiful reasons why we wouldn't get our money back, and he did it on the very last day of his deadline! He is trying to charge us VVE costs, which legally cannot be claimed if we are not notified within 6 months and furthermore were not in our contract! He also said that he would refund our deposit money, but of course couldn’t do so on time and transfer less than agreed!! I regret renting an apartment from him and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM, unless you want to fight to get your money back.

We rented the apartment for a year and after we left, he refused to pay back the deposit. We kept asking and then he came up with some ridiculous reason: that I have to pay for gas, electricity and water, even though it was stated in the contract. Never do business with this rental company. I've heard it from most of my friends and also through the reviews on Facebook and Google, but now I realize that I made a big mistake by renting this apartment and that I lost my hard-earned money.

I rented an apartment and initially they agreed to a rent of 1350 euros including furniture. When they signed the contract, it was discussed that the rent would be 1550 euros and that this included gas, electricity, and water. However, they did not provide any furniture and when we left the apartment, they charged us again for water and electricity. From day one, they have been relentless. As an expat, you should never rent from them. When I asked to have the deposit returned, they refused. I inquired with the previous tenant and they had the same experience.

SCAM!! DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!! They ask for the down payment BEFORE you sign the contract! And they want to receive the money via bank transfer. When I asked if I could meet them at their office or at the apartment, they first said that was okay, but when I asked when we could meet, they only said that they wanted the down payment via bank transfer the same day (still without having signed the contract). When they realized that I hadn't transferred them the money before signing the contract, meeting them and seeing the keys to the apartment, they said that the owner was not satisfied and decided to continue with other candidates. Be careful and DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU HAVE MET THEM AND SEEN THE KEYS TO THE APARTMENT!
