After speaking with a number of agents, I ultimately chose Danny Pellegrom from Beste Prijs Makelaars. He came across as friendly, honest, reliable, and straightforward, and I felt very comfortable with him. The prices he charges are also particularly reasonable. The first three months were very pleasant; he went above and beyond and helped me with matters that extended beyond just the house. My points of criticism were that the written text was utterly worthless and I wasn't satisfied with the photos. Also, appointments weren’t kept, resulting in missed viewings. Danny’s motivation decreased month by month, and he started arriving late frequently. This forced me to constantly meet the viewers, which led them to comment that it looked even better and more spacious in person than in the photos…. We were also going to have an open house, which went well. Another appointment that wasn't kept. After 4 months of having new photos taken (by his daughter), the house was removed from funda. Then, three weeks later when the photos still weren’t ready and my house still wasn’t back on funda, I contacted him and from that moment onwards communication deteriorated. There was no more consultation, nor was I kept informed. My house was no longer linked to move or to my fund account. A few days later, I was told that there would be several viewers and whether they could be scheduled for the first week of month 6. I indicated that this was possible. The date got closer and closer, but I heard nothing more. Two days before, I asked if anyone was still coming (something he always kept me informed about in the beginning) and that I hadn’t received any emails from Move or heard anything from him. Briefly, I was told that two people were coming, but shouldn't you also hear that from Move? No, I had already indicated that. Oh yes, apparently the reconnection had gone wrong and he would look into it. I never saw anything in move… Ultimately, an offer was made through an open registration process, and the couple with serious interest had inquired with Danny about what they should expect regarding the amount. His answer (he told me himself): 'Yes, I don’t know all that; I can't see that at the moment.' The result? An offer below the asking price… in a time when there were many overbids…. The agent started pushing me to accept it, but meanwhile something serious had happened to me so I seemed to have no other choice than to take the house off the market, which is what I didn’t want. I indicated that I needed a week before I could give an answer and communicated this to the bidders. This time was not granted to me by the agent. He repeatedly insisted on an answer and even said he would just say that you will only leave after half a year? I couldn't answer that either, and I felt incredibly pressured. I wanted to discuss this personally with him, but appointments were no longer possible with him. Ultimately, I had to make the decision to take the house off the market, and when I asked Danny about it, I immediately received a termination invoice and was told that the house would only be removed from funda and the other sales sites if I paid. I pointed out that I hadn’t discussed terminating the collaboration with anyone and had simply requested that the house be taken off the market. The response was that this was unclear. Two weeks later, the house still wasn't off the market, and I received an email saying he had viewers and what the status was. He left me no choice but to pay the invoice so that my house would finally be taken off the market! I find this scandalous, and all this stress was just too much for me. Super nice that you are responding with untruths :) if there is no appointment then someone doesn't open up and if people have other appointments then you don’t respond to the phone either, that’s true.

An interested buyer even rang at home asking why the 'for sale' sign was still in the garden; he wanted to have a viewing but was told that the house had already been sold!! While no contract had yet been signed and negotiations were still ongoing. When inquiring with the broker, they said that the prospective buyers had already done so much effort (i.e., had a contractor look at renovation costs). As if it wasn't my broker but theirs. All in all, very bad experience with P de Kleermaker. Cost me a lot of money due to poor salesmanship. For the record: this concerns P de Kleermaeker on the Amsterdamseweg. It has since emerged that this office has been sold to another broker who has retained the name De Kleermaeker. This new office has nothing to do with the old staff.

When I arrived at the house viewing, I was told by the selling real estate agent that he 'thought the bedroom in the basement shouldn't be counted towards the living space' while it was included in the advertisement. On funda it did state that it was low, but this was approximately 1.80m high and therefore much too low. I was lucky that this wasn't my only viewing otherwise I would have been very disappointed. Reaction to the response from the real estate agent of 12/08/2024: Upon entering, I was indeed told by the selling real estate agent that the ceiling might officially not be included in the calculation. However, when I went downstairs into the bedroom, I knew for sure. It would have been nice if you had informed me of this suspicion earlier, otherwise I wouldn't have come. That a company assesses that the space between lower hanging beams can be counted as living space is remarkable, especially since the average Dutch man can’t even walk under it.
