My experience regarding the Den Haag branch of DOEN Makelaars. There, a lot went wrong: no letterbox key upon handover, storage not empty, and a bathroom/toilet that turned out to be completely faulty despite being presented as "new". Since DOEN presents itself as one organization with multiple branches, I am sharing this here as a warning too.

From the beginning, we had a pleasant contact with Marilène. Due to her knowledge of the neighborhood and the current developments in both the neighborhood and the housing market, she helped well in determining a sales strategy. DOEN now works together with, among others, a photographer, which made it possible to quickly put the house on sale. Bad experience with this broker. It's all about getting as much money as possible and pitting people against each other. We were asked up to three times if you wanted to increase the bid. Then the fun is gone. Not pleasant and I hope not to experience it again in the future. This work is not only about money but also about People!!

No advice was sought. During the follow-up discussion, I was told by the office that the broker was experiencing private problems. The follow-up appointment was cancelled 3 hours before the start.

Thank you very much Ingrid de Groot for your work. During the viewing, you didn't mention the variable costs and according to you, there were no additional costs. For the rest, everything was in the booklet. My partner and I were very enthusiastic and immediately made an offer. 2 days later you had received the forest and a few hours after that email, due to high demand, we were asked for the ultimate bid. We had offered the maximum so we didn't participate because you had received the offer. April 3rd we should have heard by then whether we would get it and we heard nothing. So we sent you an email with the reaction that we did not make a final bid and therefore were not taken into consideration. I am calling to get an explanation and you come across as so arrogant. Because apparently, we only offered the asking price??!!! Because you apparently have to pay 8000 for a parking space and storage where you also pay rent???!!!! Nobody told us this and it was somewhere in small print in the booklet?!!!! This is very unsocially said and done by you. This is why starters with a good buffer and a good job can't start. And incidentally, it’s unsociable to keep saying on the phone that we only offered the asking price! Disgusting how you handled this!!!
