!!! I will not recommend Emil NVM real estate agent to an expat!!! We were lucky enough to buy our house as the first buyer without prior knowledge of the home buying process in the Netherlands. We felt that we did not receive the support we expected from Emil Makelaar. Initially, we were told they would arrange the viewings for us, but later we were told that we had to arrange the viewings ourselves. Also, we did not receive proper guidance on how much we should offer, because after the viewing, we were never told anything about the pros and cons of the property. The purchase agreement was in Dutch and they never reviewed those documents to thoroughly examine them or help us understand what was in them. Our advisor provided more guidance than they did. I would not recommend their service to expats.
