Before we engaged a purchasing broker, we had been bidding ourselves for 1.5 years without success. With the additional knowledge of the broker, a better offer could be made. We had extensive contact with our broker Koen by phone and WhatsApp; he walked us through everything and pointed out various points that we (with our rose-tinted glasses) didn't see. It does cost something but the extra experience is more than worth it.
